Billy Graham in 'good spirits' at hospital

Evangelist Billy Graham is in "good spirits" and resting comfortably in an Asheville, North Carolina, hospital Thursday, a day after he was admitted for evaluation and treatment of his lungs, a spokesman said.

Graham spent time reading the Bible and praying with his daughter, Gigi, Wednesday night, Graham spokesman A. Larry Ross said on Twitter.

When Graham - who turned 93 on November 7 - was admitted to Mission Hospital, "he was alert, smiling and waving at hospital staff," according to a statement from the hospital.

"While no date has been set for discharge, Mr. Graham is looking forward to returning home to spend the upcoming Christmas holidays with his family," the statement said.

I have respect for Dr. Graham, although I don't agree with everything, I believe he is genuine.

Fangs is right about the son, however, I have met him and years ago I had recurrent occassions in which I dealt with the smiling cohorts from his "charity." I will not deny that the organization has done some humanitarian things, but the people at the forefront are as well polished as politicans and they live a life of large expense accounts and luxury travel. I would never send them contributions.

    Papa Graham,

You've been a blessing to this world and we are happy for every single day the Lord keeps you alive. You're an inspiration.

He heard the "still, small voice of the Lord" and set his feet to walking the true path on which it led him. He has spoken blessed words of what he has seen from that path, that we all may be guided and comforted. May he remain with us in God's mercy, yet a good while.
