Iran shoots down American drone, state media says

A U.S. drone was shot down in eastern Iran, state media reported Sunday, citing a military source.

Press TV reported that the drone was "seized" by authorities after "minimum damage."

Attempts to reach U.S. officials for comment were not immediately successful.

In July, Iran's military made a similar claim, saying it downed a U.S. "spy drone" flying near its Fordo nuclear enrichment plant in Qom province. But Iran backtracked on the statement a few days later, saying the incident was actually part of a training exercise.

  2. no doubt

No doubt that Iran will use advanced technology to invade and occupy other nations and rob them of their produce. Iran needs to be stopped before African diamonds become an Iranian woman's best friend. If we don't stop iran before they take-over food producing nations they might get as fat as US. That would be disgusting and MUST be prevented at all costs.

i just saw this on tv... the united states denied to have drones over iran but claimed it was an act of aggression. that makes no sense at all... how can it be an act of aggression if you have no drones over iran that can get shot down? you deny it and that expose your lie by saying it was an act of aggression, all in the same sentence. seems to me the united states is itching for a reason to go to war and sacrifice more human resources im sure they call it. for the greater good right, the magical reason that can justify anything. this is what happens when you have so much power, you turn reality in your grandiose playhouse.

Perhaps they were saying that Iran claiming it was our drone was an act of agression. I can't say, since I didn't see what report tou are talking about.

It didn't get "shot down". The drone's controls were taken over by advanced Iranian technology and the craft landed safely.

Why are such technologically advanced tools of our defense not equipped with self-destruct upon intercept capabilities? If it was and it didn't we are in worse electronic warfare than many could imagine. Maybe the disagreements among Mideast countries is just cover for cooperation in electronic warfare and the reported Iranian fleet near our ocean space is there to neutralize our monitor our signal codes and scramble them. drone brought down without missile strike..hmmmmmm. Ruthless governments have been known to hide their wmd and delivery systems behind and under buildings where innocent women and children live and work, thinking our kindness would spare them, using our goodness against us. "Many years ago in this nation a small blameless child saw and spoke of this time in history and how Not to let it happen. That upset the money and power brokers and they kept battering and defameing this child and those who also believed the simple 't truth. (Oh, did anyone notice the nose on imposter g.W4ite?) Maybe you don't know what we just said. That's ok." We hope the nations keep strategies at 'war-of-nerves or less. If this report of drone downing is factual we better have better jamming and scrambling tech than them, and plenty of food, water and shelter and faith. Would you believe tech exists capable of dropping and droneizing us but it's against the moral code of the good guys. Somewhere in the future a group will tell us they will protect us completely if we just accept their tech control of our lives. It will happen when we are frightened and think we have no hope. Do not accept. If you accept you will be dropped like that drone over Iran without a shot any time you think about being free.

Seems like a team of commandos had better fly into Iran right now and recover or destroy this drone.

Heres an idea: none of us know whats really going on. All we do know is Iran is bad one way or another and would you rather have them nuke us first before we stop them? If so i hope they nuke YOUR city first. The rest of us would "tea partiers" and "right wing thugs" can take care of business.

with all this money we dump into "stealth technologies" You really have to wonder if we're just peeing in the wind. A fleet of tu-95 Bears could STILL break through our defenses with a few jammers and rain all hell on our western border.

Maybe we've realized that stealth is worthless and that's why we're giving it to Iran and China. Make them spend all that money. Sealth was just for shock value anyway... no real tactical purpose.

Good grief aaron, what you're saying here sounds a little too good to be true. It would be great if it was or at least, it would give the right-wing thugs in Washington less to brag about! If not, at least the Russians and Chinese are starting to catch up with it.
