U.S. wants drone back from Iran, Obama says

President Barack Obama said Monday that the United States has asked Iran to return a U.S. drone aircraft that Iran claims it recently brought down in Iranian territory.

"We've asked for it back. We'll see how the Iranians respond," Obama said in a news conference.

The president's comments come one day after it was reported that an Iranian official said the country would not return the drone.

"No nation welcomes other countries' spy drones in its territory, and no one sends back the spying equipment and its information back to the country of origin," said Gen. Hossein Salami, deputy commander of the Armed Forces, according to the semi-official Fars news agency.

"It makes no difference where this drone originated and which group or country sent it to invade our air space," Salami said. "This was an act of invasion and belligerence."

I have a better idea: exterminate all retarded human waste like you and bomb every US base in the world.

I am actually ashamed to be an American at this moment. That we could have elected someone sostupid to actually go on TV and beg an enemy that they send our spy plane back after it crashed on their soil. This guy is totally whacked.

    I agree with Apostle14 completely.
Obama knew they wouldn't give the drone back, but the opposition would use it against him if he *didn't*, so he did.
I see what he did there.
    Well played.

YEP, just another mess. We have so many smart people that I guess they think nothing will ever go wrong! A self destruct device, in this case, would have made everything mute. What puzzles me is that the picture shown on our TV does not look anything like the one Iran is showing. There is their picture which shows something different and looks like it was just freshly painted, and no crash damage.

The war industry is largely Republican, they are the ones that are in power and the most wealthy. The rich are the winners and winner take all,not caring about us so called commoners. I hope our young troops wise up and not fight a old rich mens war for profit. They die and are crippled, mentally and physically for these old rich Bast-rds
