1:00 pm ET - Gingrich meets with voters - The GOP presidential candidates are spending today preparing for an Iowa debate.  However, Newt Gingrich will take some time to meet voters in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

1:00 pm ET - White House briefing - Spending and payroll taxes will likely top Jay Carney's agenda with the White House press corps.

    Events more important than those above are happening today.
    The expected failure of "No Child Left Behind" is devastating USA public schools.
    With Occupy whatever demonstrators demanding jobs and better pay for lower-and-middle-class jobs, why isn't it obvious to all USA citizens than uneducated persons cannot do jobs in a manner that produces money? Just read the comments on this board with an eye for grammar.
    What made our schools function sixty years ago was PRECISELY each pupil's certain knowledge that he COULD and WOULD be left behind if he did not learn.

    Aww Joey, i am so sorry to hear that! Been a bit under the weather myself lately and thanks to nyquil and my dog i took a nice tumble down some stairs! If it werent for bad luck lately id have none! 🙂 I feel as if ive aged 20 years in the past 3 months
