Mysterious metal ball from space falls in Namibia
A large metal ball that fell from space into the Namibian grasslands last month is not alien, officials say, but that's about all they know for certain about the object.
According to a report on The Namibian website, the 13-pound metal sphere with two bumps on its poles was found by a farmer near Onamatunga in the Omunsati region between November 15 and November 20. Explosions were heard in the area before the discovery, but no evidence of an explosion was seen around the area where the object was found.
Paul Ludik, director of the country's National Forensic Science Institute, told The Namibian the sphere, with a circumference of 3.6 feet, is made of a "sophisticated" metal alloy that is known to man, but he said it has no markings that would identify it. No international space agency has claimed ownership, he said.
“A number of tests have been performed on the object, and it appears to be hollow. We are still busy with a detailed examination of the object,” The Namibian quotes him as saying.
Ludik told The Namibian that the object poses no cause for alarm, and that such reports of metallic spheres falling from space are common in the Southern Hemisphere.
So should we expect a run on helmets at sporting goods stores south of the equator?

That was my response exactly. Really? Common? Wow, I'm out of touch. Yeah, up here in the North, we only get one every decade or so, you know. Don't know what they are, except that they're not alien, no, nope. And BTW, if they are Russian, tell those fools to stop dropping metal debris on people!! How does something like that not burn up in the atmosphere??

looks to be a barring of some cine there is two parts to the shell of a space craft that spin vary fast . see it is like a bike rim you hold the shaft and spin the rim side ways it all most float. Just like putting spin to a top. The ends to that ball are wore down that let it slip out of there Holder, the ones on the US space craft are hollow and look the same! What if.....that were a an alien scout probe that has triggered a signal now that it has landed at it's destination. It's owners will follow it's signal until they arrive at the probe's location. It will take them almost a year of space travel to arrive, sometime around....mid to late December of 2012. Hmmmmmmm? Oh I'm just kidding, haha, I mean, who would send a probe into space to explore other planets and to possibly find some signs of life, haha, you know, haha, isn't that the silliest thought?

Mystery Solved!
This actually sounds almost identical to a case I heard about around 10 years ago. A similar object as this fell out of the sky in to a residential area. No one was injured, but they later identified it as some kind of aluminum alloy fule tank.
Isn't it amazing how so gullible we've all become? Just because they said it was from space we all line up and start thinking which part of space reather than questioning the space story in the first place. This generation is in trouble. No brains left.
NB: I also found some ugly metal in my back yard last year. Must be from space too so watch out for the story if anyone will by my story.
