Report: Chinese man dies of bird flu

A 39-year-old man in southern China died Saturday from what appears to be a contagious strain of avian flu, state media reported Saturday.

The man - identified by Xinhua as a bus driver with the surname Chen - was hospitalized in Shenzhen on December 21 as he battled a fever. He tested positive for the H5N1 avian influenza virus, the provincial health department said in a statement, according to the official news agency.

The man had not traveled out of the city of Shenzhen, nor did he have direct contact with poultry in the month before he came down with the fever, according to the department.

Shenzhen borders Hong Kong, where more than 17,000 chickens were ordered culled on the same day that Chen was hospitalized. That decision came after a chicken carcass tested positive for avian flu.

I wonder if this chicken I'm eating right now came from China ?
If I get the bird flu, will I start growing feathers and laying eggs ?

Pretty sure if it's dead and cooked, you'll be fine.

Although you *could* feather your own

    Happy New Year, bobcat.

Darling man, if you forgot to cook it, I'm afraid getting the bird flu will be pretty much last on the list of ailments you might get...

And I usually *unmake* my bed before lying in it...but that's just me.
You can do whatever you want!
(Or whatever the missus tells you to do, lmao!)

The last statement says it all.
And the bed is optional. There's more room on the floor, and you don't have to worry about falling off of it. LMAO

If you do manage to hit the bed, make sure you put one foot on the floor to keep the room from spinning.

    I case i miss ya'll later,

    Happy New Year

I'll talk to you guys next year.

How do *you* sleep at night? I suspect it's with a lot of pharms.
