Cold and snow to blast Southeast

For the many who basked in the surprisingly warm winter days recently, it may be time to break out the heavy coats.

The bone-chilling cold is back with a vengeance.

As northern Michigan digs itself out from Monday's blizzard, cold temperatures are predicted the Southeast to hit Tuesday.

Winter weather warnings were in effect Tuesday for parts of West Virginia, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina and Tennessee, according to the National Weather Service.

Looks like we're going to join ya'll with winter weather ( minus the snow ) for a few days. By the end of the week, mid 70's again. Good ole pneumonia weather. Winter in the deep south. Gotta love it.

To all you Southerners that will face a brief cold spell – Just remember – At least you're not in Barrow, AK where it's currently -18° F below with a wind chill of -39° F below...Here in western Maryland it is currently 22° F with a wind chill of 8° F...LOL

    @ Mark L.

That is why I moved to the south. Short and sporadic winter weather. I truly don't miss the months long winters.
