Romney, Santorum share top spot in Iowa GOP caucuses

The first real voter decision of the 2012 Republican presidential election season is in, and it's a split one. Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum each got roughly 25% of the support from Iowa's caucuses Tuesday night, with Romney edging Santorum by just eight votes.

It was the closest GOP presidential vote in history, tighter than the 1936 South Dakota primary, which Alf Landon won by 257 votes.

Get the full story on the Iowa caucuses.

And check out an analysis of where the GOP nomination race is headed from here from CNN political director Mark Preston.

We may know more about that direction in a few hours.

Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, who got 5% of the votes in the Iowa caucuses, has announced she'll hold a press conference at 11 a.m. ET in West Des Moines, Iowa. Look for live coverage on CNN TV and CNN.com.

And Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who earned 10% of the Iowa votes, said he's headed back to the Lone Star State to reassess his candidacy.

Meanwhile, dive into the numbers behind Tuesday's caucuses in the CNN.com entrance polls page.

OMG, we definitley don't need a man in the oval office who wants the rest of the country to live by his right wingnut values.

Ughhh...Get ready for another war, America. I can see it all now. Whether it's Romney, Sanitarium (Oops, I meant to say Santorum), Gingrich, or whomever, war with Iran is definitely looming and on the horizon. And if we the people elect a GOP majority controlled House and/or Senate to back-up a GOP led White House, rest assured, there will be another war. You've gotta love the way the GOP, Tea Party fascists and their right wing supporters blast the left-wing liberals for excessive governmental spending, except when it comes to war. The trillions of $$$$ we wasted in Iraq and Afghanistan was nothing compared to what a looming war with Iran will cost, and once again, I can almost guarantee, there will be war with Iran should the GOP / Tea Party fascists take over. (Remember, it's all about the oil America...You know, that thing we're all addicted too...Ughhh)

Well, glad to hear Michele Bachmann will most likely be dropping out of the race today. Michele was always a real scary-looking figure in my eyes. She looks an awful lot like the famous actress, Billie Honor Whitelaw. Billie Honor Whitelaw played the role of "Mrs. Baylock" in the original 1976 movie version of "The Omen" and was the evil nanny that replaced the first nanny, played by Holly Palance, after she hung herself. I bet Michele Bachmann has a 666 tattooed somewhere on her scalp...lol

Don't worry fellow comrades. Romney will win primary and be soundly beaten by Comrade Obama since there is very little difference between the two. Can't wait to stand in line for bread or be told I'm too old for Obamacare.

Anyone that smiles like a possum eating briers is nothing but a disguise to cover up their corruption. The corrupted people are voted in by the corrupted voters. God and God only takes care of ALL of my needs.

Man kind has NEVER needed ANY government to run their lives. God says in Matthew 5:34-37 and James 5:12 that ANYONE that takes an OATH of ANY KIND is of the EVIL ONE. (No exceptions) Anyone means 'anyone'. God will run my life FOREVER while you put your life in the hands of the EVIL ONE. If you go to a doctor or nurse and get some legalized dope, your life is in the hands of the EVIL ONE.

What we the general ( usually ignored) American public has missed in this race though glaringly obvious, is the exrtra-ordinary influence of the extreme Right Wing Likud party of Israel over Republicans & our Congress.

And the exrtra-ordinary pressure they are exerting over us to get us embroiled in a potentially disastrous war with Iran.

So are we willing & prepared to go their way & suffer the consequences of a third war?

Name recognition is no longer an acceptable way to choose a candidate. You must do your research before you cast your vote. Your vote is really your voice!
