Gotta Watch: When they fought back
The harrowing story of a young mother who protected her baby by shooting an intruder sheds light on those spur-of-the-moment choices people make when they are in danger. Here’s a collection of other instances when victims defended themselves against their attackers. While the victims in these stories were wounded, the following incidents did not result in any fatalities.
Foiled home invasion — A 92-year-old man in New York normally uses a walker, but when an intruder came through the front door, he ran down his stairs to confront the man and fight.
Convenience store robbery — A convenience store worker in Massachusetts started throwing punches when a would-be robber tried to hold him up. The attacker fled without taking anything, but the employee was sent to the hospital with a minor stab wound.
Pizza workers fight robber — Two pizza makers were wrapping up work late one night when an armed man came into the store. Instead of handing over the cash, they decided to take the guy down.

@Zoey. Matt's rant was concerning an individual. Me. Mine was and is concerning a vital issue that divides America. And like I said, we hear the womans point of view all the time. Equal time. Isn't that a womans demand anyway?
Anyone who thinks a mother loves her child more than a father does has never been a father. I was every bit as excited as my 'significant other' was. My daughter knew who I was when they first handed her to me. I began reading to her as soon as they told me she was there. We chose not to know if the baby was a boy or a girl. So sure was I that she was a girl, we waited till just a couple of days before she was born to even bother picking a boys name! (just in case my feti was off)To think that a father has no say in this matter of abortion is rediculously ignorant of reality. Also selfish. And Rude! How dare you!
True, wether others don't to hear some ones opinion or not, this is America and everyone in this country does have the exact same right to voice their said opinion.
Therefore if you don't like someone's post... Don't read it, but anyone who tries to silence another is endangering every ones freedom. Granted this story has nothing to do with abortion, but hey! again just past the post people.
@ Master of Feti , I always thought Fathers did much better at playing, feeding and reading with a child than the Mom. The Dad always seems to make it much more fun. Sorry Girls, but to me women are boring! Yikes am I gonna get it! (ducking under my computer) 😉

Just read that the other intruder made bail. Hope the mother and baby have someone to stay with them for a while. Intruder killed wearing gloves and carrying hunting knife. No telling how many lives she saved when she pulled the trigger. Wonder if there's a rap sheet on intruder who died?
