Prosecutor asks death sentence for Mubarak

Prosecutors in the trial of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak formally requested a penalty of death by hanging for Mubarak and several of his fellow defendants Thursday, an attorney at the court said.

Mubarak is accused of ordering protesters killed during the country's uprising last year, and of corruption. He denies the charges.

Khaled Abu Bakr, a civil rights lawyer representing the families of victims at the trial, told CNN that prosecutors requested death by hanging for Mubarak, former Egyptian Interior Minister Habib El Adly and four of his six aides.

They asked for the maximum jail sentence for the two other aides on trial, Abu Bakr said.

The prosecutors' request came at the end of three days of prosecution arguments in a Cairo courtroom.

    Really. Something needs to be done about the tunnels that run under the Israel/Egypt border. How do you think Munareck made so much money? Sure, he took a lot of bribes. But he allowed these drug/gun/black market tunnels to operate for decades. And you know he didn't lose any money on that deal. We need to go after the men and women Mubarek was dealing with. Just like we do in the Sandusky case, for example.

    Oops. I mean Waterboard Munarek. He was in cahoots with a lot of people who are still causing trouble for both Egypt and Israel. Don't execute him like you did OBL and Saddam. Torture the bassterd. He'll squeel like a pig long before that broomstick up his ass bottoms out. Get those who bribed him. Don't do that "ding-dong the witch is dead" thang. (again)

    Some world leaders are not the best. The Something needs to be done about the tunnels and Mubarak does not deal with things well, this is crazy.

    Get the name of every single person Mubarek had illegal dealing with and turn the CIA loose on them. You might see some men is dark sunglasses looking for each other from time to time, but I'm sure if they stick with it they'll find everyone who bribed Mubarek.

    Mubarak has a lot of information that would be useful tracking-down those who threaten America. He has rubbed elbows and bank accounts with some very unsavory charachters not only from Egypt, but from many other nations as well. He was like a big fat pro sti/ tute. He was for sale. Find out who bought him, and who else was bidding on him too. Don't kill Mubarak. Waterboard Mubarak.
