At least five coalition troops were killed in southern Afghanistan Friday, NATO's International Security Assistance Force said.
Four troops died after a bomb exploded and in a separate incident one service member died after an insurgent attack.
There were no other details given about the incidents.

Is there ever a point to this kind of madness? Its getting so that writing about these two horrors- Iraq & Afghanistan has become superflous.

I agree this seems to be all the news that is generated anymore. I'm truly surprised we all still post about it. I mean, all we can do is say the same thing over and over again.
But on the bright side, it gives us a chance to stay in touch with each other.
