5 troops killed in Afghanistan Friday

At least five coalition troops were killed in southern  Afghanistan Friday, NATO's International Security Assistance Force said.

Four troops died after a bomb exploded and in a separate incident one service member died after an insurgent attack.

There were no other details given about the incidents.

    And what is the reason we are still there.

    To the powers who are :

    Have you not looked at what happened in Iraq after our pull out ? Why do you think it will be any different here ?
    Quit wasting the lives of our people and pull out now.

    Its 'war'. Kill & be killed.
    Is there ever a point to this kind of madness? Its getting so that writing about these two horrors- Iraq & Afghanistan has become superflous.

    I agree this seems to be all the news that is generated anymore. I'm truly surprised we all still post about it. I mean, all we can do is say the same thing over and over again.
    But on the bright side, it gives us a chance to stay in touch with each other.
