Smog cancels and delays flights in Beijing

Thousands of passengers were stranded Tuesday morning after dozens of early morning flights were either canceled or delayed due to a thick, dark cloud of smog that rolled through the Chinese capital.

The haze prompted 34 flight cancellations and delayed 98 others after visibility dropped to less than 200 meters in the airspace surrounding Beijing, state media reported.
Air carriers resumed normal flight schedules as of 10 a.m. (local), according to Xinhua. But the city's air quality continued to be listed as "fair."

The U.S. Embassy, which reports pollution levels on its Twitter feed, said the accumulation of air particles was "beyond index" for most of the morning, which means the pollution exceeded the scale used to measure it.

Hi Mr. gung- Well I put the area under a temporarily climate change due to no sun can get thru either. Smog coming to a city near you with love from china. Don't buy china goods, buy American. I found many sites with american made item for kids for Christmas.
I guess Ron Pauls regulate your own business (getting rid of EPA) is out of the question. Just think if he gets in and also dumbs down the education system.

Having read this I believed it was rather enlightening. I appreciate you taking the time and energy to put this informative article together. I once again find myself spending a significant amount of time both reading and posting comments. But so what, it was still worthwhile!
