Severe weather leaves 5 injured in North Carolina

Authorities assessed the damage in North Carolina on Thursday after severe weather raked the area, injuring a number of people.

A limited state of emergency was in place for eastern Burke County where some 800 homes were without power after a suspected tornado hit the area, the board of commissioners said. Some homes got minor damage while others were destroyed.

At least five people were injured, but the extent of their injuries was not immediately known, county officials said.

Another suspected tornado hit neighboring Rutherford County, where a funnel cloud was spotted Wednesday afternoon. Emergency services reported structural damage and several injuries.

@ Norma, if you are not a troll:
I have three certifications as a personal trainer and one in nutrition for sports. I tend to study an interest deeply.
The gym-owning business itself is, I guess, good. Most trainers I know–the ones who stay in it–do it because they love the lifestyle, being healthy and looking good.

    @ jack:
I understand completely, and I respect your professionalism, even if you are, in the best and most noble sense of the word, an "amateur."

@Pop..Supreme Court says government can't tell us how to worship or not or how to run church business. Free to worship as our conscience directs, as long as we do not break the laws of the land or work to subvert the laws of the land. Freedom of religion does not give us license for wrongdoing. Warren Jeffs' snakey butt is now parked in a prison cell because he tried to use religion to hide behind, to keep his own personal harem. Speaking of harems, there's a political ideology disguised as a religion in the area harems are assciated with that does just what you're talking about. It has spread to this country. Truth and humility give the best immunity against it.
