Missing Montana schoolteacher found dead

Montana schoolteacher Sherry Arnold, missing since Saturday, has been found dead, according to a posting on the Sidney Public Schools website.

The school district provided no other information.

Law enforcement officers have taken "one adult male into custody, and another adult male is being questioned" in relation to Arnold's case, the FBI said Friday in a statement.

The 43-year-old schoolteacher was last seen out on a morning jog through her small town.

One of her running shoes was found along her route, but authorities indicated there had not been any other sign of Arnold.

Sidney police Chief Frank DiFonzo said earlier this week that teams had been using dogs and aircraft to search for Arnold and have gotten help from National Guard members as well as volunteers.

On Thursday, the FBI put out a poster of Arnold and added her to its "kidnapping and missing persons" website.

Arnold's disappearance has hit the small community hard, including at Sidney High School, where she is a math teacher. Situated near North Dakota and about 100 miles south of the Canadian border, Sidney has a population of just under 5,200 people, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

My condolences to the family. Although it's bad how they found her, at least this time the closure can come quicker.

My condolences to her family and friends. I would say it is definitely someone who knows her daily routine. The husband, a neighbor, a friend or a college.

There has been no official confirmation that Sherry Arnold's body has been found. The school itself published the news of her death on their site, but officially, neither the Sidney Police Dept. or the FBI have confirmed having a body. In fact, the Mayor said "as far as I know, we don't have a body" in another article. Right now there is quite a bit of confusion going on surrounding the case, nationally and even locally. The Sidney Herald newspaper publisher hasn't even been able to get confirmation on whether or not Sherry is deceased, let alone of there was a body found. The only things anyone knows for certain at this point is that two men were taken into custody for questioning.

They don't have her body. FBI is asking for help in locating her in North Dakota. They believed she is buried in either Williams, Mckenzie or Mountrail county North Dakato. They have released the names of two suspects from parachute, co. Lester Van Waters 47 & Michael Keith Spell 22.

Have the authorities back track the truckers to see if other missing women along their route have disappeared or been reported missing?

On mugshots.com it shows this lester van waters. It appears it was involved in a hit & run in 2007 in florida. Maybe FBI should release discription of vechicle. It might help locate her body if someone seen it in the area.

Who believes Nancy Grace?? I heard they found Nancy Grace's brain after an extended search....on her kitchen table in a paper bag labeled "Things not needed / donate to Goodwill." Ugh....DO NOT believe the media. They never get it right and they can't even wrangle any details of this murder mystery. More to it than they're letting on.
