More deaths amid Europe's big freeze

More deaths were reported in Eastern Europe on Thursday as the region continued to shiver in the grip of unusually frigid weather.

The coldest temperatures continued to chill the Eastern European countries of Romania, Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia, where Thursday was the coldest day yet for many.

In Ukraine, 65 people have died since the bad weather started this week, according to the Ukranian Emergency Ministry. Of those, 47 were homeless. Others died in their homes or in the hospital as a result of frostbite and hypothermia.

  1. God Hates Everyone Except the US

First there are riots that caused numerous deaths in Egypt because of soccer. Now there are deaths in Europe because of freezes. One can just sermise that God hates everyone but the US and is bringing about the end of days for everyone else!

Typical American... You think your better than everyone else. It's people like you who cause so much hatred toward your country. It's not about the land you dwell in, it's about the person you decide to be and Americans like you will never understand that. Besides if God loves you so much why do you have a HUGE unemployment rate and a failing economy.

I just looked it up and though it has been cold (below -20C in a lot of places) it hasn't been apocalypse cold. We forget how poor some people are in that part of the world so most of these deaths were preventable. They can handle this weather over there, as long as they aren't forced out onto the streets.

I used to live in Wisconsin. In my early days I can remember some wind chill factors plumeting temperatures to -65 below zero. I think some of those countries (except Russia), didn't expect it. That for us would be like Florida dropping to -30...it for the most part is unheard of.
