Fans, celebrities react to Whitney Houston's death: 'We will always love you'

Legendary pop singer Whitney Houston has died at age 48, representative Kristen Foster said Saturday night.

The cause of death and where she died were not immediately known. In May 2011, Houston got help for her much-publicized struggle with drugs and alcohol, her representative said at the time.

According to her official website, Houston, who struggled with addiction problems over the years, sold more than 170 million albums, singles and videos over her career.

As news of her death spread online her fans and celebrities tweeted that they were absolutely shocked and saddened at the news.

She is worth well over 800 million dollars and getting richer by the moment as everyone rushes out to buy all her music... I feel so sorry for the daughter, 18 yrs old and losing her best friend.. My sympathies to the family. I just hope she has honest relatives and friends whom whill watch over her mother's fortune for her and have her interests in having a loving life.. I think her father will have to be watched over explicitly as the older he will get the less he will have to sustain himself and it surly would be a shame for him to destroy what is left of his exwife's legacy and wealth ...I wish her daughter and mother all the best and to cherish the memories of the good times and not the bad times. She was the Greatest Singer of them all....and probably will for the rest of my life as with many others... Rest in Peace, Whitney
    God Bless

It's a shame that people has to say negatives things about others to make themselves look good. Let's remember, Great minds talk about ideals. Average minds talk about events and Small minds talk about people.
Let's celebrate the life and legacy of a human being. We are all sisters and brothers in the eyes of God! R.I.P. Whitney...

No doubt, Whitney was A-MAZING and SO loved. I love her for her spirit and life. The media has a job to do and that is to report facts, not to try to pull every decision and her whole personal life, trials and tribulations to the nation. Whitney was a human being and so is her mother and daughter. What would be most appropriate is to say the mere facts with no presumptions or assumptions and then bombard our t.v.'s with tributes, honors, and pure wholesome memories. That is TRULY who she was, not the mistakes she MAY have made. R.I.P. sweet precious child of God, Whitney....With love!!!

You have touched and felt what alittle bit of heaven will be like! This woman had it; and that is why her life is being noticed and experienced all over the world. She may have had problems; but her heart was one with GOD. WHITNEY you will be missed............

I don't know who she was trying to be but she put that voice in my ear that it was okay to love long and love strong, and that if you got something show the world, because God gave everyone a gift. Thank you Whitney, you will be missed.

GOD BLESS YOU WHITNEY .

African Americans have to be proud of the powerful, soulful and great singing artists which comes from the race.
Whitney was not only beautiful physically but she was inwardly as well. All who were close to her always convey that fact.
She was one of the most powerful singers ever on God's earth! She left a most incredible legacy. Of course she has haters.
They will never ever have within them the profoundness and greatness which she simply took for granted!

I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. John 12:24

Love is in need of Love today. Love is not in need of Hate. We all Bleed red and pee yellow. I learned a long time ago as written in the Bible judge not as you (shall) be judged. Free your mind and the rest will follow. THINK THINK THINK ABOUT IT.
