Supreme Court justice robbed at Caribbean vacation home

Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer was robbed at by an intruder armed with a machete last week, while vacationing in the Caribbean island of Nevis, where the family own a vacation home, a court spokeswoman said Monday.

His wife and two other guests were in the home at the time, but officials say no one was hurt in the incident.

On every trip I've taken to the Caribbean, I've read in the local newspapers about racial problems, economic divisions, daily crimes..and .that all boils down to the poor, largely black and/or Hispanic islanders against the white, moneyed second-home owners and tourists. It's a given on some islands that if you are doing construction or remodeling a good deal of your supplies are going to either never be delivered, or will be taken right after delivery. Police can be paid off. None of this is ever mentioned on those House Hunters shows where people buy "dream homes" down there. There is a lot that is not so pretty in the Caribbean.

In the reporting of the machete attack, the only victim was the English language.

It's a little tough to feel sorry for any American public servant who owns a vacation home in the Caribbean, while I'm struggling to keep my family sheltered, fed and clothed in this economy.

    Just sayin'.

Pete, he could already be buying American. The Nevis resort could very well be one of Bain Capital's tax shelters. Its a very nice and very safe place, by the way.

Any libtard justice who voted in favor of "imminent domain" allowing municipalities to steal private property for the sole purpose of being redeveloped and generate more tax revenue deserves to be robbed.

Oh, yes, Breyer is so kind. Did he have the people's best interest in mind when he voted to allow cities to steal private property solely so they could be redeveloped to generate more taxes? You know, the infamous "imminent domain" case?
