Resolute in the face of their government's bloody, incessant crackdown, opposition activists are planning a massive protest and joint funeral Saturday - not far from President Bashar al-Assad's palace
"Protesters are planning a funeral for three martyrs that were killed by Assad forces. The place we are going from is only two kilometers (1.2 miles) away from the Assad palace," opposition activist Abo Yasser said.
Across town, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun is scheduled to meet with al-Assad and Foreign Minister Walid Moallem "to explore ways to boost bilateral ties" and discuss the situation in Syria, according to China's state-run Xinhua news agency.
a murderer is a murderer is a murderer...why should you be so surprise...to a murderer a funeral is like coffee with his donuts!
@ bobcat (iah) ©etc.:
I'm "feeling" OK, thanx, as mean as ever, health if still up and down, but I'm working a lot.
I'm off to bed early now.
@ banasy©
All the things we've said on here make absolutely no sense. It makes it look like we're answering questions before we ask them.
@bc(iah):
I know, right?
They really should think of deletine the extra comments to the comment they're deleting.
Or something like that, lol.
When are the friends of Syria, China, Russia, and Iran going to force Assad to step down? I was looking through the pages of Vogue Magazine and saw a photo shoot of his British-born wife strutting around with Chanel couture. Makes me sick.
Yep, marry abroad.
Keep the women in your own country oppressed, thought.
Yep.
do they have friends?
lol @ Dazzle, im relatively sure his *friends* dont want him to step down.
@chrissy, I doubt they do. They definitely don't care that the people of Syria are suffering terribly under this dictator.
Bury those poor people in a place that's quiet and serene.
Then take the caskets and make them heavily laden with explosives, you know, something six bearers can lift and put on the steps of al-Assads palace. Then when everyone is clear, place a detonator in the form of dog feces in a burning grocery bag and place in on the steps of the palace. Then BOOM !!! ;(
Maybe it's Maybelline.
OK I need to control myself before the mods come along and delete my little dittie.
Yes he "may" be a bad man, but in the mean time, we must show love and respect for bashful Bashar.
Did you get your tongue unstuck from your cheek yet, Jeff?
How about we respect him as much as he respects his people?
@ Jeff Frank, i love your sense of humor no matter what the moderators think! Also its not altogether a bad idea in fact. The only problem i see is the people of Syria probably dont have access to those explosives to take care of that POS dictator.
Good burial for assad when he is taken, dig a 5 ft deep hole about 2 feet in diameter give him 30 minutes of air slide him in head first back fill , with feet in air HAHAHA, and walk away
