Iraqi police: 15 killed in suicide blast targeting police academy

A suicide bomber detonated an explosives belt Sunday at the main entrance of the police academy in eastern Baghdad, killing at least 15 people, Iraqi police officials said.

The attack, which occurred at the traditional start of the work week in the Arab world, wounded at least 21, two police officials said.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release details to the media.

Baghdad police academy is the only one in the capital and is within the compound of the heavily -guarded interior ministry, but has a separate entrance.

The attack comes as the country is mired in a political crisis split along sectarian lines, which has raised fears about a return to the levels of violence that nearly tore the country apart in 2005 and 2006.

You may be right on that account @ banasy to the misfortune of our great nation.

The Chairman JointChiefs warned Israel today not to attack Iran. Reiterating what our military commanders have always been saying along with majority of Israelis, the current and previous Mossad chiefs, thinkers & academics.
But some up on the Hill, GOP presidential hopefuls, Evangelical extremists are throwing their lot with the far right troika ruling Tel Aviv itching to go to war.
If they do and American interests are harmed, American lives lost and the world plunged into chaos these very people would carry the blame.

      LMAO!
Of course, the same penny and nickel will be in circulation for many years, thus paying for itself many times over...well, the nickels, anyway.
The pennies wind up in a jar in our bedrooms...
Okay, losing proposition on the penny wars.

It must be somewhat an interesting story behind what somebody does to brainwash somebody else to become a walking bomb. There doesn't seem to be too much documented on the subject. Seems there needs to be a wedge driven in between those getting brainwashed, and the dictators using it.
The middle east has been in territorial turmoil for thousands of years. One sect killing off another. The suicide bombing thing doen't seem to end.

If the coin was never circulated, or was only circulated once, then never circulated again, I would say sure.
But the purchasing power of the coin is in continuous circulation.
