another day in paradise..
So glad to be living in America...just sayin
I would rather live here than be gunned down by my own government for demonstrating!
What the hell are we still over there ? Isn't obvious to everyone that these people WANT to kill each other ? Why are we getting our people killed and maimed for trying to stop what they evidently want to do ?
Why the hell, not what the hell.
@ bobcat
If they wanted to kill each other that would have been accompalished much before we invaded Afghanistan. That is again a misconception we like to harbor.
@ saywhat
Not really too much of a misconception. Have you not noticed they attack their own civilians more than they do military targets. They do this as a reminder of who is going to be in charge once we leave.
You are right, why are we still there?
This was not happening untill we invaded Afghanistan and whipped the Pakistani leadership into fighting for us against Al-Qaeda & then Talibans. They have been paying the price since then. ccording to estimates 30,000 plus civilians and 3000 of their soldiers have been killed so far.
Why are we still there?
like all terrorists they look for soft targets and have targeted Pakistan military installations also. They do this to pressure Pakistani leadership to renounce their alliance with us , spread fear and chaos in the country.
We play into their hands by killing Pakistani civilians or soldiers thru drone attacks which does nothing but fuel hatred against US.
