France, Britain demand Syria return bodies, provide aid to injured journalists

Britain and France demanded Syrian President Bashar al-Assad cease attacks against the besieged opposition stronghold of Homs to allow three journalists to receive medical care even as reports emerged Thursday of renewed shelling in the flashpoint city.

The demands come on the eve of a meeting where world leaders will look to mount pressure against al-Assad to end a nearly year-long brutal crackdown on Syrians calling for his ouster.

Syria's ambassadors in London and Paris were summoned to the countries' respective foreign ministries, where they were told Syria was expected to make arrangements to return the bodies of two journalists killed Wednesday as well as provide medical treatment for three injured in the same attack.

Syria's Ministry of Information has no knowledge of the journalists killed and wounded, saying officials in Homs province were looking into the reports, according to a ministry statement released through the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

More Brit's believe in aliens than believe in God, and the French eat horses. Perhaps not the ones to lead the charge into Syria.

Perhaps the US should help rebels in Syria as was done for the Kurdish uprising against Saddam Hussein's bloody regime. Recall? Recall how many dead Kurds and how many more years of Saddam's bloody rule? Recall 'the teicher affidavit'? Sworn testimony from the highest ranking US GOV. official to ever come-clean about who armed the madman Saddam AFETR he had commited major atrocities. Who? The US and Israel. The world's two biggest weapons of war suppliers.

My thoughts and prayers are with Syria and Israel.
I trust Iran about as far as I could throw it....

Reminds me of the Cuban crisis when the
U.S. had those Russian nuclear missiles
pointing at us. But that was then, so many
years ago. We detected them with spy planes,
Imagine what we must have now.

Today I say farewell... awaiting for the
Prince of Peace. This whole blogging
thing is boring. I'd rather spend my
time with the people I love, living for
today. Besides, we need one another
a lot more than the world needs me.

@lee ; It's personal to anyone with a brain and heart. People need to know what's happening when there is wholesale slaughter going on. Intelligent opinions have to be Informed Opinions. Don't Kill the Messenger!
