Latest attack on Nigerian church kills at least 3

At least three people were killed Sunday in the latest attack on Christian churches in Nigeria.

Police said a car packed with explosives rammed into the compound of the Cocin (Church of Christ) headquarters in Jos, police said.

Some church members emerged from the scene covered in dust.

It was not immediately clear who was responsible for the attack.

Nigeria has suffered a rash of attacks on churches in the past year.

In December, Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan declared a state of emergency in several northern states following a series of Christmas Day attacks on Christian churches.

Eighteen people were killed in the bombing of a church in Madalla, according to Nigeria's National Emergency Management Agency. The militant Islamist group Boko Haram has claimed responsibility for that attack.

I wonder if we would make-up names for ourselves as we fought against foreign armies invading and occupying US. Would those of US fighting foreign concerns robbing US of our precious natural resources go by the name of Wildcats? Vegas Haram?

I think Wonderer is implying that there is no such organization named Boko Haram.

I still say that would be an awesome name for a band.

i think what the problem is... that chrches chicken is only feeding chicken to the christians..
    .
everyone loves churches chicken around here,, i can only imagine how much the people in africa like it...
    .
i don't think it's fair that they base fried chicken distribution on faith..
    .
everyone should be able to enjoy fried chicken...

you would think in this day of technology and age of reason, persecution of christians solely because of their faith, would be a thing of the barbaric past. yet these systems of disbelief: islamic, atheistic, and paganistic aren't ever content with their dark hole of ignorance they alway seek to upsurp the only legitimate joy and peace present on this earth. it has already been prophecized you soothsayers: you are the enemy, a darnell of suffering and a chaff to be sifted and separated from the wheat...

@banasy the 3people killed did not use their faith as a weapon...neither is it a threat to remind the evil man there is accountability and consequence for his immoral actions. my statement is really directed at the enablers who walk around with flour sacks on their head begging neutrality to its death as an sure remedy...you know the let them eat cake kind...

      Point taken.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of haircloth and flagellation types of Christians out there, too, who DO use faith as their weapon...Westboro, anyone? (although, they aren't actually violent...I don't think)
There are ridiculous radicals in every religion.
      Sad, isn't it?
