Report: Senior al Qaeda commander arrested in Egypt

A state media outlet in Egypt said Wednesday that authorities have arrested a senior al Qaeda commander named Mohamed Ibrahim Mekawy, who also is thought to go by the name Saif al-Adel.

Investigators were trying to determine whether the man they arrested is the same Saif al-Adel who was indicted for his role in the 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in East Africa.

They will probably let him go and concentrate on trying the U.S, citizens they have charged with anti-government activities.

I find it pathetic that so many conservatives can't even get behind the arrest of an Al Queda terrorist under Obama's leadership. Anti-terrorism isn't a partisan issue, and you should be glad as an AMERICAN that we bagged this clown, regardless of who is in the White House.

To be clear JuneCleaversBeaver, under President Obama 24 of the Top 35 al Qaeda leaders have been "processed" without starting a $3 Trillion dollar war unlike your Bush guy. Bush left this wonderful country nearly as decimated as he left thousands of military families without catching ONE al Qaeda member. I'll take President Obama over ANY GOP Republican Tea Bag..

Of course we can't go too long now without seeing the latest and greatest GOP campaign strategy: some Tea Bagger whining about how we apologized about burning some books. Waahhhhhh!!! Please get a life and go back to your FUX NEWS and war mongering.
