Tornado captured on video ripping through Kansas

Last night, a system of devastating storms swept through the Plains states, leaving trails of destruction in Missouri,  Illinois and Kansas.  Take a look at some storm-related video that's come in from the region, including one of a tornado touching down in one Kansas county.

Reno County, Kansas

Harveyville, Kansas

The small town of Harveyville, Kansas, was especially hard hit. This video shows the devastating damage that the town faces the morning after a suspected tornado struck. The town, which is about 20 miles southwest of Topeka, has declared a state of emergency. Nine ambulances were sent to the scene, according to the American Medical Response.

Edgar Springs, Missouri

Residents of Edgar Springs, Missouri react to damage in their town. See a flattened burger shop and listen to one man describe what he did when he heard a tornado coming.

    not man made global warming. It's called La Nina, deal with it, this is the 2nd year in a row we will be affected. Expect a tornado season like last year.

      Because if you are a climate research scientist I'd like to review your research and findings.

      If not, I can't find anything of much value in your comments. They would seem to make your comments snide and callous, as opposed to learned and short, if they are not. But, of course, any cad can spew callous remarks, so do present your credentials so I can weigh your comments as they deserve.

      For what is worth though, I can assure you that we are dealing with it, and that no one here will be asking for your help with that.

    Local weathermen have stated there is an increase in tornato activity.
