Andrew Breitbart, well-known conservative blogger, dead at 43

Andrew Breitbart, a well-known conservative blogger, has died, his attorney confirmed Thursday. He was 43.

Breitbart was also known as a pundit on conservative television shows and got his start helping to run the original right-wing online media behemoth, the Drudge Report, then started his own website.

Breitbart was the first to post the infamous Twitter photos of U.S. Rep Anthony Weiner last year, in which the congressman appeared barechested and in his underpants. Weiner eventually stepped down amid the scandal.

An In Memoriam post on his website said that it was with a "terrible feeling of pain and loss" that they announces his death.

"Andrew passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this morning in Los Angeles," the post said. "We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior. Andrew lived boldly, so that we more timid souls would dare to live freely and fully, and fight for the fragile liberty he showed us how to love."

According to the post, in a new conclusion to one of his books, he wrote about how much he loved his job and fighting for what he believed in.

Andrew recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous Indignation:

"Andrew is at rest, yet the happy warrior lives on, in each of us," the post stated.

I would not say that Obama caused his death, but it could have been some liberal wacko with hatred equal to some of you guys.

You know, even if you disagree with the bile and ignorance and hatred he spewed forth throughout his life, to celebrate his death makes you no better than him.

Not sure why everyone's get bent out of shape over the mean spirited replies. He's just being remembered in the manner in which he lived. Perhaps if he showed compassion for others in life, he'd be shown more compassion himself in death.

That being said, I am sorry for his family's loss.

I did not have a high opinion of Breitbart during his lifetime, but I am sorry for his family. In the case of Anthony Weiner, although I thought of Weiner as more a bold and courageous congressman than Breitbart a bold and courageous reporter, Weiner was more to blame for lying and blaming it on Breitbart. Weiner should have known better than to mess with Breitbart who was a master of manipulation and the truth.

His manipulation of Acorn seemed based on negative stereotypes and racism. What was up with the notion of Pimps??? He seemed to want vindication from Shirley Sherrod and it backfired. HIs true vindication was with Anthony Weiner, on behalf of Anthony Weiner.

Reading all the hate-filled comments posted here by the left's divisive bigots reminds me why I'm a conservative. And for some reason there are a lot of posts here with the name "God" spelled with a lowercase "G." God is a proper noun, so you'll want to use a capital "G" in the future, even if you are a denier. Otherwise, people will think you didn’t pass second grade. Think "Santa Claus” or "Superman."

Meh, an opinionated, lying drug addict, who cares. Hell, I'd be high as a kite too if all my party could come up with was Romney. The party of No, is really the party of No representation. Get ready for 4 more years. Too bad we couldn't have got "Cut 3 Programs Perry" or "9-9-9 McCain". I can't wait for the debates to hear Romney discuss Romney-Care and his 14% tax rate. What happen to the big right machine? You've got no leaders. RIP Druggy

One less lying, double-talking, manipulative tool bravely crusading for our broken political and economic establishment while wrapping himself in the mantle of populism. Good riddance to bad rubbish. I only hope it shows a few people in his audience the consequence of carrying so much maliciousness in the heart.

I don't mind the libs cheering. If that Muslim squatting in the white house dropped dead, I'd be dancing a jig too. It's the only reason I watch the news. Waiting for breaking news that either he or his cow wife has dropped dead.

      1) He is not squatting, he was elected.
      2) He is not a Muslim.
      3) That's a very hateful comment.

Banasy- I'd agree partially. His white half is probably Christian. His Kenyan/negr0 half is definitely Muslim. And Moochele is definitely Guernsey.

@randygnyc – you need to move out of NYC. All that crap your are inhaling is damaging your [brain] washed narrow viewpoint of life. Perhaps a little sabbatical do some some FACT checking (something you TP'ers are short on) might be in order.
