Affiliate roundup: 'Home Alone' house sold; girl fights California governor's animal shelter plan

A sampling of Friday morning's headlines from some CNN affiliates nationwide:

WBBM: 'Home Alone' house goes for nearly $1.6 million

The Illinois house where the 1990 box-office hit "Home Alone" was filmed has been sold for $1.59 million, CNN affiliate WBBM-TV in Chicago reports. The sellers owned the Winnetka, Illinois, house when the movie was shot there. No word if the residence comes with Macaulay Culkin's improvised anti-burglary systems.

KSWB: Fourth-grader campaigns against shelter bill

A San Diego-area girl is collecting hundreds of signatures to fight a state proposal that would hasten the euthanizing of shelter animals, CNN affiliate KSWB-TV in San Diego reports. To save money, California Gov. Jerry Brown has proposed requiring shelters to wait three days before euthanizing stray animals, as opposed to the current six-day wait. Hannah Conway, 9, responded with the "Animals Don’t Have Voices But Kids Do" campaign.

WSVN: Girl has triple organ transplant

A Florida girl with a rare genetic disease is recovering after a triple organ transplant that may save her life, CNN affiliate WSVN in Miami reports. Angela Bushi, 6, is the first child recipient of a liver, kidney and pancreas transplant, according to WSVN. The operation comes after doctors feared she would die following liver failure.

KTVI: Legally blind man, 100, keeps bowling

St. Louis-area resident Art Fletcher has no desire to stop his weekly bowling routine, even at 100, CNN affiliate KTVI-TV in St. Louis reports. His average score still is above his age, even though he is legally blind. "We have to tell where the pins are, and he has to use his imagination," an acquaintance tells the TV station.

Do you mean it's terrible that bobcat is alone, or do you mean the movie was terrible?

On a more serious note though, I wonder:
Did the home come with a stash of marijuana, alprazolam, or clonazepam?

I don't want to set foot in any house where Joe Pesci has been. He's just a poor man's Bruno Kirby.

Please. Kirby wishes. Pesci is more like a poor man's Mary Pickford, where Kirby (on his BEST day) is maybe like a washed up, third rate, non-union Mexican equivalent of Jeff DeMunn's mom.

Bravo for 9 year old Hannah standing for poor animals that have such a short time in the pound before being euthanized. Microchip your pet!
