Syrian regime staged deadly attacks in Damascus, rebel captain says

A Syrian rebel leader vehemently refuted the government's claim that so-called "terrorists" - not the regime itself - launched a series of explosions in Damascus that killed dozens.

"This is the regime's game. This is how they play their dirty tricks. They carry out these types of explosions from time to time to get more international support and compassion," Capt. Ammar al-Wawi of the rebel Syrian Free Army said Sunday. "They are desperately trying to prove to the world that they are fighting against armed gangs, but the reality is they are the ones who are doing all the killings."

Two explosions rocked parts of Damascus on Saturday, including Syrian government facilities, state-run media reported.

The Syrian Arab News Agency said 27 people were killed after two "booby-trapped" cars exploded in crowded areas in the capital. The blasts also injured 140 people and caused serious damage to surrounding buildings, SANA said.

Great big fishes eat big fishes. Big fishes eat fishes. Fishes eat littler fishes, and so that routine goes...until the most unreasonable, vicious fish terrifies them all by tearing up his own to show ALL the fishes not to differ with him. Oh, he says terrorists did it. We're supposed to sympathize with the dictator? No sympathy for the Munchausens Syndrome perp. Look at it, world. He's giving lessons on how to use the killing of children to stay in power. He figures no one will stop him because most are stunned and confused by his methods. The alkudafish and the talabnafish and like kinds are what, lurking? or staying out of range. Free people don't seem to know how to stop the slaughter. It began with children painting criticism of the government on a wall. And now it's like this? The old "Submit or die" routine out of a book.

Some of these comments are abhorrent and totally repugnant. Consider what is taking place in Syria now; daily slaughter of a peaceful pluralistic uprising which only seeks freedom and democracy, the quintessential American value. Ok, so morally you are bankrupt, and its not enough to persuade you to intervene on moral grounds. I get it. How about this? The ASSad regime is what allows Iran to funnel weapons and money to Hezbollah and Hamas. Is it not a strategic objective to break these thugs up? Help these people who have been murdered for more than a year, and who have lived under oppression for 42 years satisfy our strategic objectives. Brilliant I know. How to get it done? Not by putting US boots on the ground, no one has asked for that you morons. By arming the opposition and leveling the playing field. The communists (Russia/China) are arming the Syrian government to the teeth, and they have unleashed tanks against children (just look on any youtube clip under the search of Syria). Just level the damn playing field and allow these people to fight for their own rights for crying out loud!
