6.2-magnitude earthquake hits Indonesia
A magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck Papua, Indonesia, on Tuesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake was 66 kilometers (41 miles) deep, the USGS said. Its epicenter was 154 kilometers, or 96 miles, south-southwest of Jayapura.

this seems pretty far away from Mexico to be on the same tectonic plate, but maybe not

Actually glaciers ice crust and sea levels have a lot to do with the earth's crust which is were earthquakes occur to say they have no effect is illogical weight and pressure is what physics is all about go take a class before you try to be smart on people

The worlds largest Ice mass(Glacier) is Greenland. If you can please point out all the earthquakes that take place there or near there I'd love to hear your arguement.
Furthermore, 80% of all earthquakes take place over 10 miles deep in the earth.. I guess your infinate wisdom knows the depth of the earths crust at every single location given at any given time on earth eh?

Actually are crust runs on a thing called fluid dynamics which is all pressure related so changing in the ice coverage and ocean levels which is hand in hand effect the pressures applied to crust to say different is ignorant these events are not random by any means but to put all the factors into an equation to predicts is tough but possible but speaking of Greenland it fails in compression to the one that covered north America only ten thousand years ago I bet I have more top level learning than you though if want to play that get mad because I like to joke around with nubs

The frequency & intensity of natural phenomenons is increasing but it will take years for this process to complete its cycle. The earth IS starting a new cycle but we still have time(a little)to preprare ourselves as a society a community & an indivdiual. And for all who think im crazy just remember the longer it takes you to understand the greater your disadvantage will be

And for a crust that has depth range from 3-30miles I would have to say that's easy the change in pressure over a few thousand years has effect remember you thousands of years is a blink in earths time yep I don't care what want a scientist thinks I got on lock
Earthquakes are caused by what plates moving which is caused by pressures from the liquid mantel but pressure isn't one sided both sides come into play know when there is ice crust as thick as we had ten thousand years ago the pressure being exerted is different than the pressure of today it has effect on pressures at different parts of plates example push your skin with finger see now if are climate was to have its ten thousand year cycle over the course of a year the effect would be greatly exaggerated
