The New York Jets have announced on their Twitter account that they have agreed to a trade with the Denver Broncos for quarterback Tim Tebow.
The Jets have agreed in principle to the trade, the team said on its Facebook page.
The new comes a day after quarterback Peyton Manning announced he would play for the Denver Broncos and less than two weeks after the Jets and quarterback Mark Sanchez agreed on a contract extension.
"This is truly a special football environment, and I'm glad to be a part of it," Manning said at a news conference on Tuesday.
"I haven't had a whole lot of time to breathe. This happened Monday morning," Manning said of his decision to join the Broncos.
The arrival in Denver of a superstar of Manning's stature raised questions about the fate of Tim Tebow, who became the Broncos starting quarterback last year amid electric fanfare and led the team into the playoffs. Tebow won the Heisman Trophy in 2007, when he played for the University of Florida.
Tebow gained widespread media attention after leading his team to big wins down the stretch of games when they were behind. He also garnered a lot of attention, and jokes, because of his strong Christian faith. He even sparked the phenomenon of "Tebowing," named after his prayer pose following touchdowns.
The Broncos couldn't protect anyone last year, why do you think it will change? Because you think over the hill Manning walks on water...and the team will be devinely inspired?
Denver must have stopped tebow from going to the Jaguars...Elway..I hope you don't win a game in 2012
Well.......I'll be a Giants fan now!
My new favorite team is the Jets-now I will buy 4 season tickets if I can get them. HJ

Good bye!!!
NYC going to eat Tebow ALIVE!!
P
WRONG MY FRIEND! He will own NY just like Broadway Joe did . Trust me!
The Jets are idiots for this. Tebow deserves better. Should have come home to Jax instead. I can NEVER be a Jets fan even as much as I love Tebow.
Who are the Jets?
DAN.......
You are about to find out!!!
Little airplanes that make a lot of noise.
Tebow TEBOW Tebow TEBOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only worst fit could be Philly. At least he'll only be dealing with cretins and not cretins that throw d cell batteries.
Hey beaver,
we only throw "c" size.
Way to go JESTS! Now, not only can you boast about having one of the worst QBs in the league, you can now boast you have THE worst QB in the league!
Seriously? A typo in the second sentence? If you consider yourself a professional, you'll read your post before... posting.
Just wait...before spring traiing is over Tebow will be traded a few more times before he is relegated to change positions, most likely to the Linebacker role everyone has stated he should have been. To have 3 QBs in NY already and then trade for Tebow, they may have lost two draft picks, but NY Jets will find a way to profit out of this SNAFU. I predict Jacksonville will be the next to vie for Tebow getting him back to Florida and he wanted,..at least for a month, lol!!! And just because he was traded doesn't mean he will even make it out of Spring Training as a Jet...he has no chance of being the starter now that Sanchez signed a 3-year $40.5 million dollar extension...He may end up on the practice squad and ultimately out of the spotlight in NY if he isn't traded...
Teabow obviously didn't pray hard enough.
Buh bye Timmy!
You don't understand God, do you, meathead?
hahaha. hahahahaaaaaaaaa. haha. heheh. huhuhuh. The Jets get worse, Tebow goes to a town that will eat his crap goody-two-shoes facade alive, and Mark Sanchez at the very least gets a much-needed ego deflation. Oh, it's just beautiful. This might be the first time I've liked the Jets for anything.
Breanna, I'm a die hard Jets fan and even I see your point! Holy Crap, what a season it will be.
Double trade in the works~ Tebow goes to JAGS for.............never mind. Welcome to NY Tim.
I wish Tebow well, but lets face it, he is not a very good QB. Running the option, maybe, pure passing QB he not. The Jets front line is worst that Denvers, the poor guy is going to be creamed. Say goodbye to Sanchez probably around mid-season.
This was John Elway flexing his muscles. Tim Tebow eclipsed him in Denver's eyes and he didn't like it. I could use the opportunity to tell everyone who Elway really is. I'll just say I won't be a Bronco fan again until he's gone. Tim Tebow didn't need Denver, but Denver needed him. Part of me hopes we have a losing season. It would be fitting.
The reason why Denver hasn't gotten back to the super boul in several years is because they stuck for several years with the quarterbacks they had before Tim! And in all fairness, the organization gave those other supposedly "great " Denver quarterbacks a chance and yet they finished under 500 in every season. Now the organization is using a double standard and expecting Tim to get the job done overnight with a very young and rebuilding team! By the way, how come all those other great quarterbacks around the league haven't taken their teams to the super boul or the playoff in years? So what's the excuse for those other quarter backs who are supposed to be better than Tim? You know, the ones who have been in the league for ten years?
Tim Tebow eclipsed him in Denver's eyes and he didn't like it.
So, to get even Elway brings in Manning ?
You are weird.
