A catastrophic motocross accident confined a Canadian woman to a wheelchair, but did not prevent her from seeking her latest thrill-seeking adventure - bungee jumping. You gotta watch as she leaps into the air and completes her uncharted mission. A CNN anchor couldn't resist the thrill either, and tried his hand at the daredevil feat. And while both made it safely to the ground, see how another thrill-seeking bungee jumper survived a different fate.
Woman bungee jumps in wheelchair
Christi Rougoor takes bungee jumping to a whole new level. Watch as this adventurous woman is hoisted into the air with her wheelchair in Whistler, B.C. She made the 160-foot leap with a company called 9Lives Adventures. That's one brave lady!
CNN anchor bungee jumps
You gotta watch as CNN anchor Errol Barnett seeks the ultimate adventure by bungee jumping off the Victoria Falls Bridge over the Zambezi River.
Tourist survives bungee cord break
There’s something about this video that might make the toughest thrill-seeker think twice about bungee jumping. Watch as 22-year-old Australian Erin Laung Worth survives a bungee cord accident off a 360-foot high bridge on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia.
"The first modern bungee jumps were made on 1 April 1979 from the 250-foot (76 m) Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, by members of the Oxford University Dangerous Sports Club. The jumpers were arrested shortly after, but continued with jumps in the US from the Golden Gate and Royal Gorge bridges, (this last jump sponsored by and televised on the American programme That's Incredible) spreading the concept worldwide. By 1982, they were jumping from mobile cranes and hot air balloons."
So...."but did not prevent her from seeking her latest thrill-seeking adventure – bungee jumping" ? Okay, CNN. Plus, they've been doing this in Vanuatu for centuries, but I guess "latest" is a relative term.
Oops. HER latest adventure. Not THE latest adventure. My apologies. Can someone lend me a crowbar to get that foot out of my mouth?
You misunderstand. By saying it's "her latest thrill-seeking adventure," they're talking about the woman. They're not saying bungee jumping is the latest thrill-seeking adventure. It's a little nuance of English that should have been easily picked up. I wouldn't be so quick to jump on an article when you don't know how to read simple English that well.
I applaud your self correction 🙂
Lets hear it for paraplegics! All my limbs work and I would still think twice about jumping
Nice to see examples of people going well beyond what we think are boundaries 🙂
After reviewing the video several times, I must conclude that this just doesn't look right...lol My wife is a Peds PT I have worked on some hammered equipment...I would have insisted on just a harness for her to wear....but in all she has more guts then me.
I love that incredible high pitch scream..... and her friends, thats love and guts to throw a friend in a wheelchair off a bridge.
leave alone the dead you keep talking about them

That wasn't a bungee jump so much as a bungee throw. Looked good though.
