Sandusky trial postponed

The trial for Jerry Sandusky, the former Penn State assistant football coach accused of molesting several boys, has been postponed until June 5.

The trial was scheduled for May 15 but it "must be postponed to accommodate various logistical contingencies," court documents said.

Sandusky's lawyer, Joe Amendola, said the delay may still not be enough time.

"We don't know if we will have all the information we need and are entitled to receive prior to the new trial date, but we will do our very best to be ready to proceed to trial on June 5," Amendola said.

Sandusky, a longtime defensive coordinator for the Nittany Lions, is currently under house arrest as he awaits trial on more than 50 counts of child sexual abuse. He has pleaded not guilty.

    Yet? I guess I need to pay more attention because I've never felt a sense of animosity with you, yet.

    That's the only way I can differentiate, also.
    They used to have the replies placed differently on the board; more centralized.
    MUCH easier to keep up with a convo; sometimes new ISN'T improved.

    Actually, I know exactly why some people here get attacked and others don't. RUFFNUTT never insults other posters – he actually sedom addresses them at all. Some of the people here who are constantly getting attacked make the mistake of getting into disagreements and directly insulting other posters. I must remember that as I go along.

      @bombo: i encourage singling people out. it's better than making blanket attacks that might draw everyone against you.

      and, i think, the first to swear at the other loses. swearing at cnn or relating to the topic is one thing, but @ another poster just makes you look lame. i @ people all the time, i just try to keep it clean when i do.

      i've never, that i recall, had the mob rise up against me.. and don't respond to trolls. that's what they want. just pretend they didn't post. it leaves them wanting, and they go after chrissy or someone that likes to play with them.. 😉

      that's my 2 cents

      I actually get a good laugh out of attacks sometimes, if they are clever.

      Lee, well said, but if you go to Canada after we phase out pennies, your 2 cents will unfortunately be meaningless.

      He may not attack the blogger directly, but he says things that are offensive, in this case about Sandusky's victims... something a lot of people have empathy for.

      I have spent the last five years on crime blogs. And although I'm not sorry, I will say that attacking the victim(s) of crime is something detestable to me, especially children.

      I don't have facebook because I want my privacy. I've done a lot to help the missing, to help future victims and to help people get locked up. But, I've not done enough... I would like to do more, but haven't found my place. That is my passion, what I was put here to do and will soon return to it.

      I am Hope and if you've never heard of me, one day, you will.

      With all my heart...

      @Lee

      What? Are you that disappointed that I told a grown man that 10 year-old boys don't tell because of the stigma that is attached, rather than that they LIKED it? What harm is there, really, in asking someone to write a story from the victims perspective. It took years for some of them to tell. Why do you think that is?

      And, so in answer to your question, it wasn't my troll's feelings, they were mine. I'm sorry if I'm such a disappointment. But rest asured if you were a ten-year future football coach who got ra p ed by the coach at football camp, I'd be with ya, Baby, all the way!

      Sorry,
      Hope

      @high hopes: obviously, you did not read my response to you on the previous page, and now, after reading what you say here, it was something of a misunderstanding. you were not refering to me as part of the problem or uneducated? or were you?

    I would not even give a glance at sandusky that is just plain gross to look at. Even as a gay male myself i could not even think of doing something such as he has done, that is if hes guilty, with so many accusations against him how could so many people be lying?

      @Superman:
      What Sandusky did had nothing to do with gender preference.

    I resisted the urge all day to comment on this because I was sure a certain individual would have been here, and obviously I was correct in my assumption. But what has really caught my eye, is there seems to be some animosity flaring up between posters you don't normally see it with. I guess I'll have to go back to the beginning and read all these posts to find out what's going on.

    "Logistical Contingencies." Could that mean he is trying to pay off his victims so they'll drop their case against him ?

      I think we're passed that point. Even if they did take the money to drop the charges, the state would file charges on their own behalf.

    @@@ banasy.......yes i know that im just saying that this man has nothing to do with the gay community of this country. That was all because im sure thats at a lot of peoples thoughts . People have asked what i think about that and ive said the same as you its not a gender preference. For him its not just a crime but maybe an illness . But its not an excuse for him its just devestating that some one would do something so awfull. I have never had anybody do any such thing done to me. But maybe he has experience that as a youth and it was a monster in waiting
