Sandusky trial postponed

The trial for Jerry Sandusky, the former Penn State assistant football coach accused of molesting several boys, has been postponed until June 5.

The trial was scheduled for May 15 but it "must be postponed to accommodate various logistical contingencies," court documents said.

Sandusky's lawyer, Joe Amendola, said the delay may still not be enough time.

"We don't know if we will have all the information we need and are entitled to receive prior to the new trial date, but we will do our very best to be ready to proceed to trial on June 5," Amendola said.

Sandusky, a longtime defensive coordinator for the Nittany Lions, is currently under house arrest as he awaits trial on more than 50 counts of child sexual abuse. He has pleaded not guilty.

  2. "Sin"

English word literally meaning to miss the mark of perfection. so true, Mary, none of us are perfect. Hence the difference beteen inherited sins and those of our own. Jerry Sandusky's DNA passed down from Adam and Eve isn't what caused him to be fond of boys, in other words. It might have something to do with his wife decieving him though. Hence, "waterboard" Mrs. Sandusky.

How stupid it would be for a church to keep willful sinners hanging around instead of judging them and giving them the boot. You aren't helping lazy people by feeding them food, even spiritual food. You are enabling them to be lazy.

now, philip, how are they going to convert them or save their souls if they just give them the boot?

...ask any believer, God is the ultimate judge of everyone. But some believers fail to see that God only disciplines those whom he loves...those whom do not belittle his laws and stand corrected by them. In fact, "God scourges [whips, beats, punishes] every one whom he recieves as a son [or daughter]." (Heb. 12:5,6)

Just like you and mary arent helping sinners by putting yourselves on pedastles. Just because you say youre not a sinner doesnt make it so!

Simply, being imperfect, is falling short of the grace of God. There's a difference between sinning and practicing sin, one forgivable through Christs perpetual sacrifice, the other being drunk in the blood of the lamb. Simply asking for forgiveness doesn't work... you gotta make that change!

    Life... everlasting.

Now, Lee. As if laziness should be rewarded with a well oiled dish. Besides, it's not our decision. It's God's. His decision is that the unrepentant lazy and the stubbornly willful drunk, along with the glutton who refuse to cease and desist be removed before they rotten apple/whole bunch the rest. Like, who wouldn't evict a renter who kept trashing the place for years?

@Lee. "Tedious"? It would take you a thousand years just to explore your own home State, let alone the entire depth of a woman's love.
