Heidi Klum files for divorce from pop star Seal

Heidi Klum has formally filed for divorce from singer Seal, almost three months after they separated, the supermodel's publicist said.

Her filing in Los Angeles on Friday marks an end to a romance that captivated the nation with its numerous displays of affection, including a vow renewal ceremony every year and a Halloween costume party that featured Hollywood stars.

The two separated in January after seven years of marriage.

"While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate," they said in a joint statement at the time.

  1. Defend Natural Selection

None can argue how natural it is for a man and woman to fall in love and get married. We argue about what happens after nature is bypassed...after vows are broken with impunity. After illegitimate children start popping up everywhere. We argue, but they decide. The Supreme Court has decided to make a way to deal with those unwanted children...legalized abortions and legalized sodomy where not a one butt baby is born. Or we would legalize buttbortion.

listen, Phil don't be playin darwinian bootleg classification of the species card with me...humans have a mind body soul and likness of the image of god...no animal has those attributes or capabilities...but let play anyway animal or motivated by nature...man is motivated by higher order of things...even the great philisophers who did not know the judeo-christian god understood this....

@philip: where your going is correct, your terminology a little confusing. humans are a species that is part of the larger animal kingdom.

I beg to differ@lee we are above the animal kingdom...when someone want to offend the dignity and person of a human being the first thing they do is declare them NOT human and equate their personhood to that of an animal or deny their very existence...

@mmmmm: lol talk is cheap, and certainly not a basis for animal classification.

humans are, perhaps, the highest class of animal, but still animals. our brains, and how we use them, have allowed us to do many things over time that lower animals cannot. we can adapt more quickly to our surroundings and changes in them than lower animals, for example. we need oxygen, we have to eat, we can move freely, we react to threats and pleasure. just like other animals.

No, Ruffie. Women never want to be treated like we treat animals. Some have just been conned into thinking they do. What natural women with a mind that has not been articially altered would watch a man sodomizing a sheep and say "yep, that's me"?

No argument about that coming from me, Mmmm. Adam "came to BE a living soul" it says. He didn't come to have one. All animals are living souls, even humans. The big difference is between those humans who try to behave like animals, and those who try to behave like the biblical Jesus. (not the modern fairy tale version 'buddy jesus'. The real Jesus with truth on his lips and a whip in hand)

@mmmmm: 'hardening pharaoh's heart' so he would not free the jews, then punishing him for it by slaughtering the first born of egypt, is pretty harsh stuff from any perspective..

    • ♚Mmmmmâ™›

your taking the meaning out of context...pharaoh's heart was already harden...pharaoh heart harden with a strong will to back...god willed or amen or rather permitted pharaoh's will over his soul to be as pharaoh declared...this was one still neck person whom declared himself god to God's Face, whom allowed pharaoh to remain in the state he choosen...it was God permitting pharaoh to rule his soul to his demised as pharaoh without the saving grace or mercy of God. Pharaoh rejected God and God permitted his rejection to stand...not a pretty sight...that is how many souls go to hell rejecting...pharaoh with all the power God gave him that day...the power to decide the fate of a soul...pharaoh was unwilling to save his soul because of his hatred of God and to use such saving power to save his own soul would have made him a liar and not a pharaoh...pride is a dangerous thing...

@mmmmm: terms like soul and likeness of god are based on faith, and irrelevent, as not everyone has the same faiths or beliefs. an 'animal' is any of a kingdom of living things that have cells without cellulose walls, that require complex food materials, are organized to a greater degree of complexity (than, say, plants), and have the capacity for spontaneous movement and rapid motor responses to stimulation. clearly, humans qualify.

that's not to say there are not differences between our specie and, say, lions or whales. there are many different species within the animal kingdom.

so dumb...you think because you can see something with an microscope and you know it all...science isn't that smart...second it doesn't have the know how much less the know all... third science is limited by what it can see and can measure...four it is ecapable of measuring objectively apart from itself so it theorizes, extrapolate and speculate...lastly it is a discipline of discovering what's already there and a discipline of imitation or copycat whose end products are largely out of sync with creation and destroys it...man is more
than flesh and blood...science isn't the reality it's the other way around...science tinkers with someone's else's toys that has already made!

my sources are not the just the bible...you have science as proof against itself and the limits it discusses in it's journals and conferences...read it sometime...you have nasa with its hubble...you have the human body and its capacities and powers and design...not man-made mind you...you have realities that was here prior to science, yet like columbus, it takes ownership for what is functioning and existing prior to columbus' arrival or science's arrival...science is good discipline to the extent it does not opposes reality and truth...the universe itself testifies against science by stating there is a Science before science...lee...

@lee. The word 'America'. They got that one wrong. America is a mythical place...it's not even on the map. It's a place where American dreams soon become reality nightmares...except for those who have sold out to whatever government of whatever country they happen to live in. God forbid they move and try to take their mythical ways with them into a foreign land not so familiar with greed and obesity. 'America'. It's all been put into your mind.

@philip: my dictionary defines 'america' as 1. either continent (n america or s america) of the western hemisphere. 2. or 'the americas' the lands of the western hemisphere including n., central, and s. america and the w indies. 3. united states of america.

there are many words, i'm sure, with common usages that differ from the dictionary definition. don't blame the dictionary lol

There were no Jews back then Lee. They were called Israelites. The word 'jew' didn't come into popular use until after the city of Jerusalem was founded. 'Jew' was slang for a person from Jerusalem when it came to business matters too. Of course members of the Jewish religious system are called Jews, and always have been by themselves. "You really jewed me on that one" does have historical merit. Their own God refers to them as "greedy" and "tight fisted" in their own holy writings, for another example.
Was Jesus a "Jew"? As a younger man, yes. But by the age of 30 he was baptized and then set about exposing the false Jewish religious system to the point the Israeli Supreme Court officially wanted him dead. He was in fact NOT A Jew proper. He was a Gallilean. And like all Gallileans, the thsoke wthe a lithpe...and the city folk jews from Jerusalem poked fun of him being a hick.

Yes, it is a mystery why today's Christian leaders teach that modern-day Israel is God's chosen nation while fleeceing their flocks to Chase Bank. How is it that todays leaders claiming to be "christian" are rich, not poor like Jesus. Why call israel "God's chosen" when Jesus thouroughly exposed their religion as being false? It's as if they are spitting on Jesus' grave...undermining what he did. Is it of so little value that Jesus showed you a better way?
