Grand jury cancellation leaves Zimmerman case in limbo

Now that the grand jury that was scheduled to convene Tuesday in the Trayvon Martin case has been canceled many are wondering when a decision will be made.

The special prosecutor assigned to oversee the investigation, Angela Corey, announced Monday that she would not present the controversial shooting case to a grand jury.

A grand jury had been scheduled to convene on Tuesday in the case before Corey waved it off saying "the decision should not be considered a factor in the final determination of the case."

But some legal experts say Corey's announcement could signal an imminent decision for George Zimmerman, the man accused shooting an unarmed Florida teenager.

Anybody see the video where a man was beaten stripped and robbed in Baltimore while others stood by and laughed?

Mr Zimmerman doesnt need to be tried for anything for he did nothing wrong. he merely defended hinself from a vicious animal that surely would have killed him given the chance. he saved the taxpayers thousands of dollars in not having to house that murderous animal in a cage and the cost of a trial. kudos mr zimmerman!

I don't agree that the young man was a vicious animal but I do believe that Zimmerman only acted in self defense. The witnesses all reported that zimmerman was the one being attacked. I don't think he will serve on day in jail. I know that the city of Sanford is concerned that the jungle mentality of the crowds may create a major problem IF he is not arrested.

True AMERICAN. What's this country coming to when you can't even shoot somebody who is smashing your head on the sidewalk? Give him a medal. America's son would act like Zimmerman.

@ candy, the only witnesses stated they heard *someone* screaming for help. They didnt say who the someone was because they didnt know and no one SAW what took place. So from that, you cant determine self defense.

The case is closed. Zimmerman acted in self defense against a wild animal that was seething and going mad. That monster was on PCP! We need armies of Zimmerman's to clean and sweep out the ghetto's and make room for the self-respecting black man who has something to offer society. Skills and talents, my brothers. I know you still got them.

The big question is why, after the 911 operator told him not to, he still went after Trayvon ? If he would have done as he was told, the young man would still be alive. So yes, I feel he is culpable in this incident.
Since there are no eyewitnesses to the incident and because of the gunslinger law in Florida, they just automatically took Zimmermans word for it. That is wrong, no matter how you look at it.

The forensics will be the determining factor in this case. George Zimmerman will say anything to save his behined. In addition, there is still a lot that we don't know that will come out during the trial. There will even be evidence that won't be allowed in. I am speaking from experience. Everyone needs to stop jumping to conclusions.
