Gotta Watch: Former child stars against Kirk Cameron

Several of Kirk Cameron’s fellow child stars are now lashing back for comments he made about homosexuals. In March he told CNN’s Piers Morgan that homosexuality is unnatural, detrimental and ultimately destructive to many of the foundations of civilization. He also stars in newly released  documentary where he speaks out on the topic. In a new Funny or Die clip, members of a group calling itself Child Celebrities Opposing Kirk Cameron, or CCOKC, try to poke holes in Cameron’s theories.

Cameron: 'Homosexuality is unnatural'

Kirk Cameron believes homosexuality is unnatural, detrimental and ultimately destructive to foundations of civilization. Hear more of his thoughts on the matter.

Former child stars lash back at Cameron

Several of Kirk Cameron's fellow former child stars do not support Kirk's stance on homosexuality and same-sex marriages. A group calling itself Child Celebrities against Kirk Cameron, or CCOKC challenged Cameron. Here's a little bit of what they had to say in their "Funny or Die" clip.

Comments on homosexuality spark debate

George Takei and Stephen Baldwin square off on Kirk Cameron's comments on homosexuality and the gay marriage debate. Baldwin supports Cameron. Takei says Cameron's beliefs have no place in the laws that govern the country.

@Dangle 66. You are spot on the MONEY. Especially those "christians" that kill each other come wartime. They're almost as bothersome as the early Christians were.

Get a clue. Mr. Cameron wasn't speaking his mind or giving you his personal opinion. He was quoting scriptures that identify some people as "men kept for unnatural purposes" and "men who have become enflamed with violent lust for one another." What's the big deal?

What's the big deal? So if someone wants to start killing people who are attracted to their own gender are we to say, "hey they are just quoting Leviticus 20:13, no harm done."?

The problem is people like Cameron want to deny people the same rights that straight people have.

Those aren't merely Kirk Camerons personal views, those are the views of the God of the bible. Read Romans 1:24-32. It'll only take you a minute. (online bibles) Read Kirk Cameron's words. He was quoting the Apostle Paul.

Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. (Ephesians 6:5 NLT)

Which should tell you that the Bible is outdated and out of touch with reality.

While I think most Christians are good people, the very core of Christianity is based upon an immoral concept. Please explain to me how any sacraficial system isn't barbaric. Especially one that says the guilt of others can be paid vicariously through the death of an innocent man. I don't think the majority of Christians really ever think about that in their lifetimes.

Me thinks Cameron is fighting too hard. Could it be that Baldwin and Cameron have a thing going?

    Do what makes you happy?
Hmmm, would you tell your kid "sure, go ahead ... sit in the middle of the freeway if it makes you happy"
Just because it makes you happy, it's gotta be ok!
Really, why didn't God say it's ok in his written word?
Oh yeah, he said it's WRONG!
It makes me happy when I kill someone ... is that ok?
BTW ... I have never killed anyone
And the point IS by condoning this behavior to commit a sin IS killing their EVERLASTING LIFE!
    Gn , I'm soooooo tired!

"God" also said that slavery is okay. That wearing mixed fibers is a sin. That trimming your beard is a sin. Eating shellfish is an abomination. Relations after divorce is adultery. Disobedient children should be stoned to death. Oh, and Mary, let's not forget 1 Timothy 2:12, "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence."

What does Cameron do? I"m serious. I do not know who he is. The CNN header for this thread assumes I know who he is, and I don't.
