Photo shows Pippa Middleton with man apparently wielding gun
A photo of Pippa Middleton showing her in a car with a man wielding what appears to be a gun in France is causing an uproar after its publication in the UK newspaper The Sun.
Paparazzi were taking pictures of Prince William's sister-in-law, who was in the passenger seat of a black Audi convertible as she was headed to a train station in Paris. The driver of the car wielded a gun, apparently pointing it in the air and then toward a photographer, who was following them and captured the shot, according to The Sun. It is unclear whether the gun was real or fake.
CNN's Matthew Chance reported he spoke to lawyers who said while it is unlikely that Middleton would face any charges unless it could be proved she encouraged the driver to point the gun on public streets, the driver could face charges of threatening with a firearm if French authorities wanted to do so.
The photographer who snapped the shot was "considering his options" about a formal police complaint, The Sun reported.
Middleton is the sister of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, who married Prince William last year. William is second in line to the British throne behind his father, Prince Charles.
Buckingham Palace told Chance it would not comment on the photo because Middleton is not a member of the royal family.
The photo is causing a stir, in part because there have been problems with gun violence in France recently, including an attack last month that killed seven people, including four children.
The incident took place while security was being heightened ahead of France's presidential election.

Obviously a dumb thing for the driver to do, but why would a passenger be charged? She wasn't brandishing a pistol.

I do not feel one bit sorry for the photographer whose sole job is to stalk people hoping to catch a photo some rag will pay big money to distribute. Drive through some urban high crime area and see if CNN cares much about the fact a gun got waved at you. Pippa and any entourage are human beings who just happen to have captured some people's fascination. Too bad we can't have some sort of open day hunting season for paparazzi (hmm...a real life Hunger Games scenario with fleeing for their life paparazzi...now THAT'S photo worthy!).

Whats sad about this is pipa does not get a bodyguard from the cheap royal family. She's out there on her own. The paparazzi are just looking for a story and the million dollar shot. Looks like they got one. Just sad what this world is focused on. Leave the girl alone.

Seems like the press is making more of this than the French police, the royal family and the paparatz that took the photo. The press in the "God Guns and Guts" nation of America has the royal sister in law being arrested for "accessory to fooling around."
The press in America is experiencing a conflict here, they think the First Amendment means you can jump on the hood of a car and take a photo of someones underwear, but they have trouble defining the Second Amendment with the same liberality.
If the Second Amendment was protected like the first, you would find silencers "FREE INSIDE" your Lucky Charms box.
