Photo shows Pippa Middleton with man apparently wielding gun

A photo of Pippa Middleton showing her in a car with a man wielding what appears to be a gun in France is causing an uproar after its publication in the UK newspaper The Sun.

Paparazzi were taking pictures of Prince William's sister-in-law, who was in the passenger seat of a black Audi convertible as she was headed to a train station in Paris. The driver of the car wielded a gun, apparently pointing it in the air and then toward a photographer, who was following them and captured the shot, according to The Sun. It is unclear whether the gun was real or fake.

CNN's Matthew Chance reported he spoke to lawyers who said while it is unlikely that Middleton would face any charges unless it could be proved she encouraged the driver to point the gun on public streets, the driver could face charges of threatening with a firearm if French authorities wanted to do so.

The photographer who snapped the shot was "considering his options" about a formal police complaint, The Sun reported.

Middleton is the sister of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, who married Prince William last year. William is second in line to the British throne behind his father, Prince Charles.

Buckingham Palace told Chance it would not comment on the photo because  Middleton is not a member of the royal family.

The photo is causing a stir, in part because there have been problems with gun violence in France recently, including an attack last month that killed seven people, including four children.

The incident took place while security was being heightened ahead of France's presidential election.

HUH !!!! The driver appears to have a gun pointed in the direction of the photographer, but everyone whose faces you can see in the car, are smiling as though they are at a party. This photo does not make sense. Real or fake?

The gun barrel is pretty small. Could it be a BB pistol? Even if it is, it is still a gun. Photo still looks fake, to me.

Judging by the smiling guy in the back seat, its looks to me that the driver has a water pistol filled with... veggie oil. Would really goo up the papparazzi lens. I doubt they'd be laughing if you had a PPK pointed in your direction.

The Paparazzi deserve what they get. They hound and harass and endanger people day and night. I love to see them get pounded, run over and shoved. Maybe if one got shot they would finally learn to back off.

As much as I am anti-guns, I do totally agree. The papps killed her mother-in-law. They need to start getting killed themselves.

He should have shot the photographer for what happened to Diana. In America we are all reading the article, looking at the photo and saying "so what". Why is this even news?

Paparazzi are bottom feeders. Maybe, like rodents, they deserve to be exterminated, or at least frightened like the rats they are.

"Bottom" feeder? Guess that's why they were chasing the woman with the world's most famous bum.

The only reason we are even aware of this woman is because of the genetics of her butt.

But does that really make her newsworthy?

The driver should have stood his ground, shot the unarmed paparazzi and claim "Self Defence". Dead men don't speak, and take the blame, just like Zimmerman's dead victim is now being held responsible. I think the Paparazzi wasn't black enough, so did not get shot.

Matt knows what I am talking about. He got his Pippa half way in her middleton, but prematurely Paparazzi'd everywhere.
