Photo shows Pippa Middleton with man apparently wielding gun

A photo of Pippa Middleton showing her in a car with a man wielding what appears to be a gun in France is causing an uproar after its publication in the UK newspaper The Sun.

Paparazzi were taking pictures of Prince William's sister-in-law, who was in the passenger seat of a black Audi convertible as she was headed to a train station in Paris. The driver of the car wielded a gun, apparently pointing it in the air and then toward a photographer, who was following them and captured the shot, according to The Sun. It is unclear whether the gun was real or fake.

CNN's Matthew Chance reported he spoke to lawyers who said while it is unlikely that Middleton would face any charges unless it could be proved she encouraged the driver to point the gun on public streets, the driver could face charges of threatening with a firearm if French authorities wanted to do so.

The photographer who snapped the shot was "considering his options" about a formal police complaint, The Sun reported.

Middleton is the sister of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, who married Prince William last year. William is second in line to the British throne behind his father, Prince Charles.

Buckingham Palace told Chance it would not comment on the photo because  Middleton is not a member of the royal family.

The photo is causing a stir, in part because there have been problems with gun violence in France recently, including an attack last month that killed seven people, including four children.

The incident took place while security was being heightened ahead of France's presidential election.

Pips should come to America. Not only can you wave that gun like it ain't a thing, but you can shoot it, too. Provided the photographer is black. Pull that on someone lighter than a brown paper back, and you're in trouble.

Yeah that's real funny considering 50% of violent crime is committed by black males. 6% OF THE POPULATION! And 85% of black murders are committed by blacks. So yeah it's all about white on black violence. Stooge!!

Always good to see people like you still feeling sorry themselves because of race. Get a life, loser. We all have the same opportunities; it just depends what you do with them.

Princess Kate is not the future Queen any more than Prince Phillip is the current King. Come on people. It really isn't that hard.

Apparently, it is that hard. She is not "Princess Kate", she's the Duchess of Cambridge.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (Catherine Elizabeth "Kate"; née Middleton; born 9 January 1982) is the wife of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. The Duke of Cambridge is second in line to the thrones of the 16 Commonwealth realms and, should he eventually become King, she would automatically become his queen consort.

It is not Pippa, it is someone else. He is holing a toy gun – perfectly legal, nothing wrong here.

I'm young and I used to run around as s kid with something like that.

    This is not a story.

Why on earth is this news? This is the stupidest piece of news I have ever seen. Is the news media crazy? If they think they will get a rise out of anyone, they will go for it. I want to know why no one, republicans, democrats or independents are doing anything to stop this disastrous trajectory our country is in, with no one wanting to create anything except tweets. The only people capable of actual work are illegal migrants and the Chinese. Everyone here wants to live with/off Mom and Dad until they are 45 or more. Even if they wanted to work, they couldn't, they only skills they have are finely honed shopping skills, they have absolutely NO technical skills at all. All these idiots with philosophy degrees deserve everything that is coming to them.

Oh, she's some person who knows a person who got married to someone 0.04% of the dumber population cared about for a week. The media did that thing where they try to make a random talentless nobody a star.
      I'm ashamed I remember.

You know, I'm generally opposed to private ownership of handguns, but a photographer who chases any member of Diana's family in a car, ESPECIALLY IN PARIS, deserves whatever he gets. If I'd gone through what that family went through, I might take a potshot at the paparazzi from time to time myself.

The "in your face" paparazzi need to have a gun shoved up in their face from time to time.

Thanks for not showing any of the actual photographs of the gun and letting us see for ourselves, but instead forcing us to watch an absolutely useless video blurb in which a newspaper is held up and not even zoomed in on. Lose all the videos for those of us who actually like to...I don't know...read the damn news.

STUPID PAPARAZZI!!! They violate people's right to privacy - and get paid to do it - and anything done to shoo them away just becomes a bigger pay-day for them. Why is it all right for someone to be stalked and harassed just because they happen to be famous? It's always reckless to point a gun at anything you don't intend to shoot, but it's equally reckless to shoot and publish pictures that you know will cause injury and/or damage livelihoods.

Leave this family alone! They all need to carry a GUN as look at what happened to Dianna. hat was a real shame and such a waste of a beautiful life. So go on and carry your guns until the pap boys leaves everyone alone and that will never happen. I think some times there is too much of this crap that does not matter and their should be more in the news that matters.
