Gotta Watch: Rough plane landings

Imagine being aboard a commercial airliner as it violently bucks and bumps through rough winds. Or, the feeling of terror as you realize the aircraft you're on has to make an emergency landing. You've gotta watch how some pilots handled intense moments like these - all caught on camera.

Wind whips jetliner across runway

High winds in Bilbao, Spain, made normally routine landings treacherous. Watch the video to find out what pilots can learn from crabs -- yes, crabs -- to get their aircraft safely on the ground.

iReporter relives near-plane crash

Listen to CNN iReporter Dave Gering vividly explain his turbulent flight from Munich, Germany, to Hamburg in 2008. You may be surprised to learn what passengers weren't doing as the pilot struggled to get the plane on the ground.

'We're gonna be in the Hudson'

We all remember US Airways flight 1549's safe emergency landing in the Hudson River back in 2009. It made Captain C.B. "Sully" Sullenberger a household name and earned him unending praise as a hero. This spine-tingling video puts you right in the middle of the action. Listen to the calm, matter-of-fact conversation between "Sully" and the control tower as they try to find a safe place to land.

and I am sure that all these ads make us want to go out and buy that product, right. Does anyone ever buy off an unsolicited internet ad?

seriously, fix this ad problem. I am now merely looking for the clips on youtube, and you have lost me as traffic for this article.

I wonder if the people on board the plane were surprised, or if they were just jaded with the whole situation.. After all, what's the point of life anyway?

Sorry, but with all due respect to the skills of the pilots, when the winds are so turbulent that they have to abort landing in order to fly around and attempt it again, they should be directed to an alternate airport. There is no sense in the risk or the fear factor for passengers.

As a relatively inexperienced private pilot, I gotta say: that these planes landed at all seems really irresponsible to me.

Exactly! It's crazy that they would try to land a plane in that situation. I can't even think something like this happening in the US. I would sue an airline who would put me in that time of danger!

What ads? I use Firefox with an ad-blocker, so I don't see ads on web pages. I can't imaging going to any websites without an ad-blocker.

Dan, smart... we're talking about the videos. If you have a way of playing videos without ads at the front, share with us. Otherwise, take into account what was meant when someone said " watch the same ad three times "

"Ladies and gentlemen, all of our engines have failed and we will be making an emergency landing, right after this important message from our sponsors. Please turn your attention to the video monitors in the cabin. Thank you."

The white feminists who are devil's wives and his human concubines were the most vocal in their hatred toward black americans and were the most vocal in demanding the deportation of native born BLACKS under immmigration laws and were the most vocal in their support for racial profiling in which many BLACK AMERICANS were arrested and were either martyred within the prison system or were deported to AFRICA , where many of them were martyred there and were buried in mass graves in both the SUDAN and in the CONGO, and it was this act as well as the rise of the hiphop nation is what has contribute to the black holocaust in which much of the black human population were exterminated 1968-1993-2001. Mean while a new demonic black america has arisen from the both hiphop and the antebellum nation and is based on stereotypical images of low class , poverty stricken and criminally prone blacks and has replace the black human population

Looks like one missed approach and a nice crosswind landing. These things happen somewhere in the world every day. The pilots did their jobs the way the were supposed to. It looks more dramatic than it really was.

A blonde gets an opportunity to fly to a nearby country. She has never been on an airplane anywhere and was very excited and tense. As soon as she boarded the plane, a Boeing747, she started jumping in excitement, running over seat to seat and starts shouting, "BOEING! BOEING!! BOEING!!! BO....."

She sort of forgets where she is, even the pilot in the co ck-pit hears the noise. Annoyed by the goings on, the Pilot comes out and shouts "Be silent!"

There was pin-drop silence everywhere and everybody is looking at the blonde and the angry Pilot. She stared at the pilot in silence for a moment, concentrated really hard, and all of a sudden started shouting, "OEING! OEING! OEING! OE...."

Speaking of ads and such, it drives me crazy when CNN and other networks are showing a video of something on the ground or otherwise on the bottom of the TV screen...but they leave the stinkin chirons on so you can't see squat. C'mon guys!
