New documents shed light on Trayvon Martin killing
New documents released today shed light on just what might have happened when George Zimmerman fatally shot Trayvon Martin, 17, in Sanford Florida earlier this year.
An autopsy report revealed traces of the drug THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, in Martin's blood at the time of his death - fueling more controversy in the already heavily debated circumstances of the killing.
Meanwhile, three police reports chronicled Zimmerman's injuries, officer's first impressions of the crime scene and claims that he was assaulted in the moments before shooting Martin dead. An EMS report and a lab report were made public describing injuries Zimmerman sustained during the melee.
Also released was an FBI analysis of the controversial 911 call, which caused speculation around the country about Zimmerman's potential use of a racial epithet to described the teen in the hooded sweatshirt.
Zimmerman has plead not guilty in the case, maintaining he shot Martin in self-defense during his shift on a neighborhood watch.
Bond for Zimmerman was originally set at $150,000 on April 20. Zimmerman's bond was revoked on June 1 and he was ordered to return to jail when a judge determined Zimmerman lied about his personal finances. A new bail hearing is sceduled for June 29.

Very clearly...if Zimmerman's goal was to kill the boy, he would have done it BEFORE he got knocked down, bloody, and a broken nose.
I'm sorry for the family's loss of a loved one. Yes it could have been avoided...on Travon's part.

Trayvon had a "trace amount" of THC in his blood and urine... This means nothing, THC stays in system for days even weeks.. Doesn't mean he was high at the time of the shooting... Also, what difference does it make anyway? Don't hear many stories about people going out and attacking people while high on pot.. if anything Trayvon would have been mellow and had the munchies... THC in his system is meaningless.. has nothing to do with the shooting or his murder.
It matters in the court of public opinion. Initially he was portrayed as a 12 year old angel. Of course no one thought sweet lil' Tray could ever be aggressive. Now it turns out he gets high and apparently has other issues. Maybe it is possible he could have been the aggressor. At least this isn't a far-fetched possibility, like it seemed before.

It affects how the jury feels about him, and that may determine what they decide.
Was George Zimmerman tested for drugs or alcohol? So WHY the character assassination of the victim? Regardless of what was in Trayvon's system, I don't believe for a minute that a fleeing Trayvon Martin was out that night to break any laws or do anybody harm! This was a kid who went into a neighbor store and didn't shoplift or threaten the owner with violence but as a decent citizen, he acted within the law and paid for his stuff! This was a kid who left the store and was heading home and was eventually stalked by a coward thug who had confidence to stalk the kid because he had a gun! Please drop the character assassination of the victim! If you wish to question anyone's character, question the character of the cold blooded murdering George Zimmerman!
Disbar prosecutor Angela Corey for unethical malicious prosecution and overcharging. This evidence, which she had awareness of, clearly demonstrates that Matrtin was the aggressor and Zimmerman was lawfully exercising his self-defense prerogative.
"It never would've happened if Zimmerman stayed in his car," say the cops? Good one. It's his neighborhood. He's free to go wherever he wants in his neighborhood, and oh, by the way, the cops have a pattern of FAILING to respond.
Drop the charges today, recompense Zimmerman, disbar that political hack Corey.
THC stays in the sytem in measurable amounts for months depending on many factors. Police intend to use this to charge users with driving under the influence, in the future. Defendants will have to prove then that they were NOT under any influence. A very costly venture with no chance of recovering their expendatures for defending themselves.
Normally, 3 weeks to a month THC stays in your system.
The kid was 17... Are there really kids that are 17 that don't smoke pot? (Parents, don't kid yourselves)
I would have fought this guy back myself. I was glad to see Trayvon fought this guy his life. Some weird guy walking on and jumping on me I would have done the same thing. We the cops told this guy to wait until they got there he should have done that. Trayvon was not a immediate threat to anyone except for in the mind of Mr. Zimmerman. Had he obeyed law enforcement none of this would have happend.
Or if the police would have done their job in the first place, people wouldn't have to protect their neighborhoods from would be robbers. Lets not forget how many times this neighborhood has been robbed in the past...

COPS never told Zimmerman squat. A Dispatcher with NO AUTHORITY said "WE DONT NEED THAT".
Dont put me on the Jury.......sounds like Travon may have got what he deserved; His atty on TV yesterday stating something to the effect that he had to fight for his life because Zimmerman had a gun just doesnt make sense at all......

from 911 call with girlfried, Zimm followed Trayvon, approached him, Trayvone asked why are you following. Zimm, asked what are you doing here, as he walked up to Trayvon. then phone went dead.
it seems fairly apparent, Zimm grabbed Trayvon when he walked up to him. then trayvon started fighting back with fists & was obvioulsy kicking Zimm's ass. Gun was always in Zimm waistband of pants (no holster) at first. then during struglle, Trayvon detected gun, and THEN Zimm & Martin were battling over gun, while on ground, while ONE of them was screaming HELP ME (heard on other 911 calls) most belive it was Trayvon screaming for help. i have also heard the 911 tapes, it is a "kid" screaming for help.
THEN, after struggle was going, the gun was pulled out & Trayvon shot.
all this evidence & data is out there for anyone who wants to reasearch it, and put it all together.
initially, Trayvon was defending himself, from the agressor Zimm.
and during this, Trayvon was kicking Zimm's ass.
BUT – by law, an agressor, can NOT come back later, and use self defense, because he got himself in a bad situatuon by being agressor.

not M2 as charged. Prosecutor Cory has LONG histry of over-charging people, to hope for them to plea to lesser crime. Cory charged M2 here, hoping Zimm would plea to Manslaughter.

It was a Sunday ... no school on Sunday. He was in Sanford because his father was trying to be responsible by taking his son from the negative influences and stepping up to teach him to be a better man. The problem is short sighted people such as yourself who don't look at the big picture due to your personal bias. Regardless, a kid is dead (see autopsy report 6' 158lbs = kid), a man shot him, the girlfriends statements indicate that Zimmerman was the aggressor, and Zimmerman's statements indicate to me that he was a loose cannon looking for an opportunity to prove himself worthy of carrying a real badge. Could have been avoided ... Zimmerman must be held accountable.

Those "scratches" don't look all that serious to me. Just saying – he shot the kid.
If you were having your head bashed repeatedly against concrete by a 6"3" person, would you be thinking about how serious the wounds might or might not look later in pictures? NO, yo would use everything in your possession to stop the attack, including deadly force.
Ok RedBlood, maybe you should read the autopsy report. Trayvon was 5'11" and 158 pounds. Do you really think Zimmerman's wounds look like his head was repeatedly bashed against the concrete? Wouldn't there be more trauma or a fracture? Zimmerman looked downright relaxed getting out of the car at the police station.
exctly. his head was NOT BASHED IN. he had some minor cuts. Police records show it took EMT's at the scene, less than 5 mins TOTAL, dealing with ALL of Zimm injuries (nose & head).
he is not ANYWHERE CLOSE to being hurt bad enough, that he can clim his life was in danger, or to justify KILLING someone over it.
he just got his ass kicked for confronting Trayvon.

@BMcGee,Zimmerman looks like he slipped on the wet grass and accidently hit his own head.If Trayvon was smashing Zimmermans head on the sidewalk,he wouldn't be talking right now I assure ya!The more evidence comes out, the more this Zimmerman creep is shown guilty of tracking down an innocent kid and in showing his lack of respect for anyone, especially one that's not of his color ,took the law into his own hands,being judge,jury and executioner all in one.This STAND YOUR GROUND law is a concept that was given to Jeb Bush by the NRA,and was made into law as a favor for political contributions made by the same NRA members for his governorship in Florida.This law in the wrong hands is dangerous indeed and should be either repealed or implementation of more strengent guidelines to better apply to this law..Then guys like Zimmerman,will think first before using their firearm ,not wasting two lives in the process.

I doubt that a conviction of murder is possible.
More will be revealed, but it certainly appears to me that Zimmerman was the person being beaten and screaming for help.

I think this could have all been avoided if Zimmerman had stayed in his car. But based on the evidence that's now come out in regards to Trayvon Martin, I do believe Trayvon initiated the attack. Was involved in drug dealing and was breaking into house and stealing stuff. We've heard he was dealing pot based on his social network accounts, now confirmed he was on drugs on the time, he was suspended and found with women's jewelry and a screwdriver.
Oh, and it's also come out that George Zimmerman (Mr. White, cross that Mr. Hispanic, cross that too seeing as Zimmerman himself is an 1/8th black.)

I have to agree. We will have to see how (and what info) plays out in court.
First, simply following someone is not a crime. Stalking is not simply following someone. Secondly, we now know that Trayvon was on top of Zimmerman and beating him. There is a witness and photographic evidence. Trayvon had not marks on this body other than the gunshot would. Zimmerman had not marks on his hands. Therefore, we KNOW that Trayvon beat Zimmerman. We KNOW that Zimmerman did not strike Trayvon. We KNOW that zimmerman shot Trayvon AFTER being beaten. That is what we know. Sounds like self-defense to me...
So you read the autopsy report then? If you did then u would know Treyvon was shot from nearly 3 feet away and there was NO gunshot residue on his hoodie which does not support a shooting while there was a struggle. Treyvon was NOT on top of Zimmerman beating him when he was MURDERED, and EVIDENCE shows that. Not to mention the coroner explained the cause of death as a HOMICIDE. Where is your claim of self defense now? READ the reports and make your OWN assumption. Don't regurgitate the media. HAVE A BRAIN.
