New documents shed light on Trayvon Martin killing

New documents released today shed light on just what might have happened when George Zimmerman fatally shot Trayvon Martin, 17, in Sanford Florida earlier this year.

An autopsy report revealed traces of the drug THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana,  in Martin's blood at the time of his death - fueling more controversy in the already heavily debated circumstances of the killing.

Meanwhile, three police reports chronicled Zimmerman's injuries, officer's first impressions of the crime scene and claims that he was assaulted in the moments before shooting Martin dead. An EMS report and a lab report were made public describing injuries Zimmerman sustained during the melee.

Also released was an FBI analysis of the controversial 911 call, which caused speculation around the country about Zimmerman's potential use of a racial epithet to described the  teen in the hooded sweatshirt.

Zimmerman has plead not guilty in the case, maintaining he shot Martin in self-defense during his shift on a neighborhood watch.

Bond for Zimmerman was originally set at $150,000 on April 20. Zimmerman's bond was revoked on June 1 and he was ordered to return to jail when a judge determined Zimmerman lied about his personal finances. A new bail hearing is sceduled for June 29.

If Zimmerman hadn't followed Trayvon, Trayvon would probably still be alive & Zimmerman wouldn't be facing charges. Had he obeyed the 911 operators orders, none of this would be happening.

Yeah, and if Martin didn't approach zimmerman and punch him in the face he would still be alive.

911 operators don't give any orders and no one is oblidged to follow their "suggestions". Whaty a 911 operator says carries NO weight!

About all I needed to see were the pictures of Zimmerman's broken nose and bloody head. I don't think he did that to himself, and I don't believe that Martin did it to him in self defense. Witnesses place Martin on top of the smaller Zimmerman. The FBI couldn't identify the voices on the tape for several reasons, and Zimmerman had a broken nose, which would make voice comparisons questionable anyway.

We will never know what really happened here. It's a pretty conservative place, with lots of people who believe that if the police accuse you of something, you're guilty, so I can't predict how it will come out, but I suspect I'd be voting for acquital if I were on the jury.

The witness with 13 pages of comments said the person on the ground looked like he was a boy?
really? the same person who you said it was too dark to see any clothing or skin colors looked like a "boy" to you?
Was it that he was 6 feet tall? Is that what made you think he was a boy?
In the statement it also mentions handing over the statement to police when finished so this is an after the fact, "lie to get the racist" statement.

They dont have one witness that they know for sure what they saw. And the ones that said they was sure now have changed their story. Zimmerman will walk.

this sad america we live in. this goes to show that we are no further in life today than we was 400 years ago. if my nose was broken, at some point i need to see a dr. or walk around with a un-set nose. he refused 3 rides to the hospital. i have a permit to carry but i am not authorized to just shoot people who i can not tolerate because they always seem to get away. then its ok to get lawyer thats going to play as dumb as your to represent you, so he will ask if his client can make bond still after lying to court about all kinds of things. wow really floridia.

  7. The judge

Zimmerman was told NOT to follow ! He ignored Police request and therefore took matters into his own hands.
He lied to the judge about bail money
He spoke to his wife on the phone about it. His credibility is now gone. He is so going to jail. If he doesnt there will be a race riot.

Larry says "This entire case is a waste of time and is only occurring because of public pressure. "

    EXACTLY!!!

If this were presented to a grand jury, we would not be here dealing with this now, and GZ would not be fighting for his future.

But the decision maker on that who chose to SKIP the grand jury is merely making their career @ GZ's expense. And here's why:

Google "Joe Horn Texas" for details. In that particular case, Mr. Horn shot someone in the midst of burglarizing his neighbor's home while they were away. It was presented to a grand jury in Pasadena, Texas. The grand jury refused to indict. (And interestingly enough, the guys he shot turned out to be career criminals as well as illegal immigrants, although it was something that he could not possibly have known at the time he shot them. But I've got to tell you, I would appreciate having a neighbor who watched my back like that. It's a rare thing indeed for someone to watch out for you in such a fashion when they are not family.)

And save your breath if you think of calling me a racist. Because if I had a son, he would look like . . .

    President Obama.

Undeniably believe that which you stated. Your favorite reason seemed to be on the net the simplest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed while people think about worries that they just don't know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people can take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks

I only focus on the facts in this case that help me to prove that I'm right and anyone who disagrees with me is either racist or a stupid liberal. I have several law degrees and was 2 of the 11 eye witneses, plus I am a homicide detective, so I know what I'm talking about. This case only proves that groups I don't like are terrible and people who don't agree with me are ignorant. Because this is the internet – I am also a wealthy, attractive businessman who is married to the most beautiful women in the world with several PhD's in Cool. Yeah

It's amazing how polarized people are on this. All you hear is that Zimmerman was a racist that wanted to kill Martin for being black, OR that Martin had overpowered Zimmerman, who was completely innocent and harmless to Martin.

Get real, people! Martin was no angel, but if Zimmerman hadn't been such a loser, he wouldn't have been walking around his neighborhood carrying a gun and looking for someone to pick a fight with. In Spanish, there's a saying: Se unieron la peste con el mal olor. Basically, what we saw was a union between stench and bad odor. However, Zimmerman could have avoided this whole drama by just letting the cops do their job. He didn't RANDOMLY find himself in danger, he PLACED himself in a situation that he didn't need to be in, and when he realized that his mouth wrote a check that his butt couldn't cash, he panicked like the scared wanna-be bully that he is and he brought his gun out in a fist fight. He's going to be a very popular girl when he goes to prison.

This whole thing is stupid, Zimmerman was told by the Police to wait untill they arrived and not to follow him. But zimmerman did it anyway. He picked a fight with a 17 year old kid and got his ass kicked so he shot him. The kid had a bag of skittles in his pocket and a cellphone, no gun no knife no weapon at all. Why is he not in jail yet?

@Matt, You read to much CNN, There is no proof he"did it anyway", that's just something CNN keeps repeating. Can you explain how he "did it anyway" for 4 minutes and ended up less than 30 yards from his truck?

It isn't polorization. It is internet trolls coming on line who think it's cute to play devil's advocate. There are a lot of people on the internet that thrive on deprevity in one forun then become arm chair activists in another. The only poloraization is those that have an opinion either way on weather Georgie boy is guilty or not. Try to think of any tril though since Simpson and Ramsey that there hasn't been an outcome of trial that wasn't destroyed by public opinion and crappy law enforcment.

Not being an "angel" is irrelevant as it does not warrant being followed for doing nothing but walking down the street. I guess every person on the face of this Earth should be followed and shot since no one can ever claim to be an "angel"

Martin was 6'0" 160lbs. Not exactly a 'kid' in my book. Zimmerman is 5'7". I find it hard to believe that Zimmerman would pick a fight with someone 5" taller than him yet leave his gun on his waist. Both of Martin's hands were free as his purchases were in his pockets. FL may change its 'Stand your ground' law, but it was in effect when this situation happened. Courts and a jury will sort this out but Martin's position is weak.
