'Just One Minute,' Israelis demand for athletes, coaches killed at '72 Games

Israel's deputy foreign minister is taking to social media to pressure the International Olympic Committee to reverse its stance against a moment of silence at the London Games for 11 Israeli athletes and coaches killed at the 1972 games.

"We will not let this issue rest and we will be launching a concerted campaign to have the IOC reconsider their position," Danny Ayalon posted on his Facebook page on Thursday. "All we ask for is 'Just One Minute!'"

Ayalon repeatedly tweeted a plea for support early Friday, directing people to an online petition sponsored by a Ankie Spitzer, whose husband - fencing coach Andre Spitzer - was among those killed by the Palestinian terror group Black September.

IOC President Jacques Rogge, in a letter to Ayalon received this week, did not directly mention the request for a moment of silence. But he said the IOC "officially paid tribute" to the memory of those killed on several occasions and will continue in consultation with the Israeli Olympic Committee.

"Please rest assured that, within the Olympic family, the memory of the victims of the terrible massacre in 1972 will never fade away," Rogge wrote.

Ayalon said the response was unacceptable.

Lets have a damn loud and boistrous werklong protest for no apology or payments to the wounded, maimed, traumitized and killed of the USS Naval Vessel Liberty.
Not only that but lets demand payments to any surviving relatives
Make them pay gor a museum where we can show all the gore of men blown apart and their attavks upon the ship.
Send it around to show all our children what they did and once s yesr have s moment of silence in Israel as a Guilt Offering, no doves tsken as a replacement offering
A hell of a lot more americans were murdered on that ship than Israeli's killed at Munich OLympics.

HIde Behind... There is a huge difference between DELIBERATE MASS MURDER of innocent civilians (as it was in Munich Olympics, the Twin Towers in September, 2001 and many other places) and a TRAGIC MISTAKE (as it was in July, 1988 when USS Vincennes shot down an Iranian A330 killing all 290 on board).

Jew-haters like yourself believe that the Jews are SUPERHUMANS and can not make mistakes. It's pretty comical how they all disappear when asked about the possible reasons Israel would be willing to DELIBERATELY attack the Liberty.

Hide Behind... Posting unsupported and illogical accusations is NOT critizism by any stretch of imagination... and I believe that you CAN NOT even offer a possible reason Israelis would be willinf to DELIBERATELY attack the Liberty.
