Gotta Watch: Kid feels dizzy, hilarity ensues

A few years ago, 7-year-old David DeVore Jr. became a YouTube sensation after his father posted a funny clip of him recovering from a trip to the dentist. The video has been watched more than 100 million times. Now, a newcomer named Matthew Russell is attracting the same type of attention with his post-anesthesia "hilarity." Watch how these kids have become viral video stars.

Yeah it generally wears off in 20 to 40 minutes, and with very little after effects.

CNN... please try reporting on real news, like our ongoing war in Afghanistan. Just because your reporters (with a few exceptions) are too chicken to actually get on the front lines and report doesn't mean it isn't still going on. And just because people are sick of hearing about it doesn't mean you don't have a duty to report. And you wonder why people have such disrespect for the media today.... it's because you insist on placing crap like this in proximity to the headlines. Quit relying on "I reporters" and viral videos and DO YOUR JOB!!!!!

wow derek lighten up a little. i read all the reports on afghanistan before i got to this and will read more after. sometimes it's okay to laugh after you cry. thats what our soldiers are fighting for. so we can take our kids to the dentist instead of hiding in a bunker.

If you don't like to read about this type of stuff that isn't all down and depressing then don't. Not everyone wants to be dragged down by reports only about the war, riots, and people dying. Don't like something don't read it. No one is forcing you to.

it got a million hits cuz there's a million anesthesiologists watching youtube during your boring surgeries and for once a kid wakes up silly instead of screaming! what a cutie. love kids but pediatric medicine is a tough biz! lucky parents! you should give kudos to whomever got that recipie right.

Sillybilly – I'm a US Army Captain with 7 years of service. I can assure you that the right to watch stupid videos and become ignorant nitwits that are brainwashed by an intellectually lazy media is NOT what soldiers are fighting for.
And I'm not saying you can't watch this if you don't want to.... you can, and I have a choice to not watch it as well. But it's insulting that CNN consistently places this crap above news about the war.

I agree with alot of the commenters. If you keep posting kids like this then more and more dumb people will start experimenting with their kids or borrowed kids just because its funny. Even kids might see this and think what happenes if I drink this or eat that. Thinking they remembered when everybody laughed at the video. Let it stay on youtube. Dont go adding it to your headlines and then interviewing the parents and stuff like that. This is a bad direction. Parents should look out for their kids. And not share with the world thinking nothing will happen.

Every addict can remember the first time they got high and their body never forgets it. I think it's unconscionable to do this to kids unless it's a life saving procedure.

Addict? Seriously? Have you ever had anesthesia? It doesn't turn you into an addict. I've had surgery 4 or 5 times in my life and I'm not an addict. The kid has a broken arm and they put him under for any number of reasons to set the arm and put it in a cast. He acted goofy when coming out of it, his family taped it and posted to youtube because it's funny. Lighten up!

It's been done before. Not funny anymore. It looks like this kid is immitating the vid of the other kid after leaving the dentist instead of it being a natural reaction to the meds.

This kid is incredible obnoxious and not even funny. It is a sad day when an obnoxious brute-child is considered high comedy. All you people who think this is funny are just plane stupid and primitive.
