Ray Bradbury, author of 'Fahrenheit 451,' dead

Ray Bradbury, author of "Fahrenheit 451"  and other science fiction classics, has died, according to a statement from his representative at HarperCollins.

“Yes, Mr. Bradbury died peacefully, last night, in Los Angeles, after a lengthy illness," the statement said.

Rest in peace Ray. You're works were an inspiration to many!

I always loved "I Sing the Body Electric" and "The Man in the Rorschach Shirt."

Here here. One of the few times I have to agree with you Pedo. He will truly be missed. Prays and sympathy go out to his family and friends. "The Veldt" was always my favorite short story from Mr. Bradbury.

My many respects to Ray Bradbury. This should be a nationally observed event with flags at half mast and all. My favorite story was A Sound of Thunder. The man was a prophet because as the article mentioned his stories spoke of concepts that didn´t exist until years after he wrote them.

Mr. Bradbury's works, IMHO, were of the human condition now as compared to what it could and should become, with the positive triumphant over earth bound negativism.
Hell Fire and Damnation held no sway over him, and the ways of war and mans outlet of the negative was presented in terms of indeed Zen thought.
He wrote of a creation that only man could destroy, a creation without prejudice and so limitless if we join it.
Sorry Mr. Bradbury, I will not miss you, for you live on each page of works whenever I return to them._
