18 rescued in child pornography raids, feds say

Eighteen victims of child pornography were rescued during a nationwide sweep by federal law enforcement agencies, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced Friday.

The sweep, dubbed Operation Orion, resulted in the arrests of 190 individuals, most of which were in the U.S. but included arrests in Argentina, the Philippines, Spain and the United Kingdom, ICE said in a press release. The operation took place from May 1 to May 31.

"Let this operation be a warning to anyone who would think they can use the Internet to exploit children: we are out there looking for you, we will find you, and you will be prosecuted," ICE Director John Morton said in a statement.

Morton said as children begin summer vacations, parents should pay extra attention to how much time they spend on the Internet.

"Many of the child exploitation cases under Operation Orion began with a child or teen chatting with someone he or she met online," Morton said in the statement.

That you would even ask such a question speaks volumes.
Do you honestly think the children enjoy it?
Do you honestly think it's okay to use a child in such a way?

I say that almost all Americans who profess belief in God, disavow the God of the bible. (the very book that gave mankind the idea of marriage in God's eyes, and that there was, not several gods as pagans taught at university, but One true God.
I say American "christians" have turned their backs on God's word, and have fashioned for themselves a "buddy Jesus" God who allows religious freedom to be twisted into an excuse for loose conduct. (aka perverting our fought-for freedoms into inducements for the fleshly desires of men) What say YOU? (BYPASS YOUR RANTS DIRECTED AT MY PERSON. TY. I HAVE DIRECTED MY COMMENTS AT NONE PERSONALLY)

Anonymous did the legwork here, I bet. FBI only prosecuted because, well, they kinda had to, and no Very Important People would lose anything much on this deal except a trophy wife or two.

There are Rabbis who do these things as well. It does not mean that all the Rabbis do it. Don't blame everyone just the guilty ones.

As a parent of a pre-teen this is scary!!! As we give our children more freedoms, there are many predators waiting for them!!!!! It's sad we can't live in a world where our children are safe!

So maybe it is time to educate your child about how to use the new freedom in a responsible way rather that worry about them becoming a victim. ohhh you do not know how to do it? well would take and 20 mins a days of surfing and researching ways to keep your kids safe online. I like to call it responsible parenting.

@nisroc00...many times it doesn't matter how vigilant parents are. Predators can and will find children to abuse. Teens are famous for going against thier parents wishes thinking they know more and are mature enough to handle anything. Unfortunately, some of the most caring and paranoid parents in the world have had thier children abducted or abused. Quit blaming the victims and do something to help.

Less than 100 years ago, Americans regularly wed thier daughters as soon as the were "women". A widower would marry a 13/14 year old because he needed someone at home to take care of the kids, cook, clean...Our garndparents didn't think sending thier 13 year old daughter off to a total stranger to be married was evil and wrong. Many other countries and cultures advocate teen girls marrying. Not saying it was/is right, just stating the facts. Now thier grandchildren want to kill all the purps. Our society wants to solve all of our problems with violence. That will be the end of our society, not the few bad apples that exsist out there. I can understand the anger about these sickos, but US bombs have kill hundreds of thousands of children around the world over the past 50 years and we advocate torture. Who is upset about that?
