Bodies found after Haitian migrant boat sinks in Bahamas

Eleven bodies have been found and 13 people remain missing after a boat carrying 28 Haitian migrants ran into trouble while on its way to the United States, the U.S. Coast Guard said Tuesday.

Four of those on board made it safely to shore and raised the alarm with the Bahamas police force, said U.S. Coast Guard spokesman Petty Officer Jon-Paul Rios.

The Haitians' vessel broke up off Hawksbill Cay in the Bahamas, he said.

    Send us your poor tired and hungry, unless they are Haitians that is, for if at sea Coast Guard sends them back and same goes if they reach our shores.
    Haiti has been the worst case of US Corporate/political corruption in our history and it still continues.
    Long a revenue source for religions and NGO's missionary works that no matter 70 years of being in country have not changed the peoples impoverished life styles they still make a living.
    Tens of millions donated to Haiti after earthquakes and then placed under Control of expresidents Bush and Clinton fid not all get dispersed and what did went into beach front condos, crooked gov ofgicers pocets and buildings; and oh yes living quaters for NGO and religious missionarys.
    The srlling of an estimated 45 bilion hold field to some of worlds most corrupt and polluting gold firms will level a 65×65 mile lond piece of ground below sea level, enrich a very few and once done leave Hati as they found it.
    Such is Hati's fate always been under US politics.

      ^^ yes HIDE BEHIND you are so right because a boat of illegal immigrants, who will not ever pay taxes, crashing off our coast is a fault of US policies! You want to help Haiti so much then go there, do something, instead of sitting around and blaming the system, jump off the bandwagon and learn how to spell.
