Of course that U2 spy plane was shot down before the US and Soviet governments agreed to allow each to inspect the others underground facilities being built so that both could continue Nazi programs captured after WWII concluded.
Even for decades, the US and USSR had inspectors at each secret underground facility.
By the time the "Cold War" ended, some 40 trillion dollars worth of these facilities would be constructed, with American and Soviet citizens being kept in the dark about what they were for, just as it is today.
How does this tie in with the above events?
@Jeff
That is expanding on the news of the U2 spy plane being posthumously awarded the silver star and what @A'course says are facts.
but more alarming are two pieces of news that should have attracted attention:
The House passes a bill (HR 568) pushing the admn to war with Iran The bill effectively and in essence blocks any negotiations and accepts nothing short of war. That is what is implied in this resolution passed 'in a hurry'.
Now whose interests is the Congress of US of A protecting and promoting is the question every thinking American should be asking. Certainly not that of America or Americans. Majority of Americans are not even aware of this bill.
The second piece of news is that India and Iran are about to reach a deal for payment of Iranian oil in Rupee. I think time is coming that US imposed sanctions on countries that we single out would be rendered rather ineffective as nations look out for their own interests.
Thank you for that @saywhat. And thanks for your well thought-out posts and vital information major media ignores.
Me? I've known of Iran's impending takeover for over 10 years. Wars aren't knee-jerk reactions. They are all planned-out well in advance.
I recall "poseing" as Ahkmed the Terror Guy back before 2002 suggesting to Iraq that they hire a public relations firm to promote Iran as a better place to occupy than Irag. And more recently doing the same for Iran...suggesting they hire an advertising agency to lure US troops to skip Iran with their skinny women, and head straight for Venezuela, with curvacious women for the war criminal taking.
Iran will fall one way or another, closely followed by Venezuela. (aka CITGO in the US)
...and@saywhat. I recently posed as a homeless person living on the streets of Colorado Springs for three days and two nights...in real life. I am still in the middle of posting this adventure on Thursays Live blog and would love for you to read. 🙂 And, of course, comment.
@ Philip
You amaze me. An asset to this blog I would say though some don't see that way. But then the dislike is shoved my way too.
Posing as a homeless for three days and two nights, you say on the streets? That takes courage. I eagerly look forward to reading that. Thanks
:)ing @saywhat. You are the friendliest man alive.
You weren't around here over a year ago when people here called me 'The Gentle Blogger'...at least I don't recall your s/n being here back then.
I have only raised my voice and changed my "tact into the wind" trying to be heard through the peanut butter clogging most peoples ears. In real life, I am a true gentleman most-always...never feeling comfortable until those around me are.
My "Gentle Ben" kept getting shot-at by poachers, so my grizzly bear came out. Maybe he'll go back into hibernation and i will once again rival your friendliness here.
Three guys, a Canadian, Osama Bin Laden, and Uncle Sam were walking together one day. They came across a lantern and a genie popped out. “I will give you each one wish, that’s three wishes total." The Canadian said, “I want the land to be forever fertile in Canada. I'm a farmer, my dad was a farmer, and my son will someday be a farmer." So with a blink of the genies eye *POOF, the land was forever fertile. Osama bin Laden says, “I want a wall completely surrounding Afghanistan so that no Infidels, Jews, or Americans can get in." Again with a blink of the genies eye *POOF, there was a wall around Afghanistan. Uncle Sam asks, “I’m curious about this wall, please tell me more." "Well" says the genie, “the wall is about 15,000 feet high and 500 feet thick, it is practically impenetrable." So Uncle Sam says, “Fill it with water."
Good morning to you too @Philip.
I used to post regularly on Larry King and there too was assailed by many who didn't like what I had to say or disclose. Anyway you are so right about those" peanut butter clogged ears". I do sometime feel like a cry in the wilderness but continue to put in my two cents.
Friendliness is what we have been losing fast, but you are fine just as you are.
have a good one all.
good morning@ bobcat
A good one.
Thanx @saywhat.
And good one @bobcat, only Usama Bin Laden was a Saudi Arabian, not an Afghan. The wall built around Saudi Arabia is completely built already. You won't wee any 'Arab Spring' in Saudi Arabia so powerful are the US corporate militia hired to protect the Saudi government. (aka Royal House of Saud)
Try making up a genie who goes "Poof!" and OBL and his men seen by US as freedom fighters magically become viewd as 9/11 suspects ready for US to bypass justice and slaughter at our own will.
lol ty bobcat, i needed a good laugh today as im nearing time for my drs proposal for a hip replacement. He doesnt have any idea im not gonna be an easy sell on this! And @ Philip, i recall quite often your gentle ben posting! 🙂 & enjoyed thurs thread!
And @ saywhat, i really wish more people would pay closer attention to your posts! They have no idea whats in store for this once great nation, thanks to the congress clowns! They should be tried for treason, every last one of em imo!
If my memory serves me right, since Iran deposed The Shah and his american handlers. every budget cycle; used to be two year intervals, a bill sponsoring military and political funding against Iran has. been passed, while today it seems we need one every 6 months.
By playing with words, what was a declaration of war against Iran was averted, and evenwhen ee were in a shooting conflict with them and had a proxy, Iraq, join us. causing over 250,000 Iranian deaths and casualtys we were not in our eyes at war.
Over 30 years ago we deposed a democraticly elected leader and occupied; then got thrown out and have spent billions$ trying to force our way back in, all without making war.
