Boko Haram claims responsibility for Nigeria church bombings

A militant Islamist group claimed responsibility Monday for bombings the day before that the Nigerian Red Cross said left 50 people at three Christian churches in Nigeria.

Boko Haram said the attacks Sunday in the Nigerian cities of Zaria and Kaduna were retaliation on Christians for destroying mosques and, according to the group, turning others into "beer parlour and prostitution joints."

"Let them know that now it's the time for revenge God willing," the group said in a statement. "From now on, they either follow the right religion or there will be no peace for them."

    BTW:

Even the religious leaders were compared to vipers. Broad and spacious is the road leading to destruction. Become insightful that you might find the Light. Discernment calls out to all of us.

True that, Hope. Jesus even identified Jewish religious as Satan's children. No wonder the Jewish High Court, the Sanhedrin, held an illegal trial at night complete with false witnesses paid to testify against the innocent Jesus.
Recall, Rome occupied Israel at that time, and the Roman court found Jesus to be innocent of all charges, with the chief Roman authority "washing his hands" of Jesus blood about to be spilled.
Little wonder too, that some 30 years later, Jerusalem "reaped what they had sown" when Roman armies destroyed the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem, along with all those thinking they were safe inside.
According to well the well known and respected historian, Josephus, Rome's four year siege of Jerusalem saw Jewish women eating their own babies to survive...forerunners of modern-day abortists.

@ Hope, Yet like a piercing light, the truths that Jesus taught exposed what was bad and highlighted what was good. 🙂 They brought hope and comfort to humble ones who were deceived by false religious leaders and oppressed by the Devil.
    Would that be right?

    *Jewish religious LEADERS, rather.
Still, in all of his years of ministry, Jesus was only able to convince a relatively small number of Jews to convert to Christianity.

      Not me...

      Mary:

Yes; he was, is and always will be the Light of the world. Through him we come to know God... not as an aloof supreme being who is unreachable, but a true friend who is always there for us, willing to help whenever we call on Him. All His ways are just and true. Jesus set a fine example for us, not only what is possible for us to do for God; but what God can do for us. If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can move a mountain from here to there.

      I believe...

Mary, Hope, and Philip, why don't you take this offline, use a phone, email, or chat room. NO ONE wants to hear this day in and day out.

      Hey!

I'm sorry. The subject came up. Do you have anything to add or is that the extent of your opinion? By all means, don't let a few people spoil your fun. What do you think of this religious-based topic?
