11:50 am ET - Obama tax cut announcement - President Obama is expected to ask Congress to pass a one-year extension on Bush-era tax cuts for people earning less than $250,000 a year.

1:00 pm ET - White House briefing - The tax cut announcement is expected to dominate Press Secretary Jay Carney's chat with the White House press corps.

1:30 pm ET - Holder talks to NAACP - Embattled U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder will discuss voting rights and other matters when he addresses the NAACP National Convention in Houston.

5:00 pm ET - Health care law rules meeting - Think the health care debate ended after the recent Supreme Court ruling?  Think again!  The House will vote later this week on repealing President Obama's health care reform law, but first, the House Rules Committee will meet to approve rules ahead of the debate.
