2 indicted for allegedly trying to supply Iran with nuclear-related items

A federal grand jury has indicted two people for their alleged attempts to supply Iran with U.S. materials for gas centrifuges to enrich uranium, the Justice Department said Friday.

The indictment charges Parviz Khaki, an Iranian citizen, and Zongcheng Yi, a resident of China, each with one count of conspiracy to violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) by conspiring to export the goods without the required license.

Both also face one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States, two counts of smuggling, two counts of illegally exporting U.S. goods to Iran in violation of IEEPA and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering, the Justice Deaprtment said.

Khaki, 43, was arrested in the Philippines in May. Yi remains art large.

    *God, rather than 'god'. There are many gods, but only one true individual God. The 'god of this sytem of things', for example. Or Tammuz, the pagan god of ancient Babylon that brought you your cross (his sign) AND steeples on yer churches!

      That is where the true test comes to bear. If you are faced with your own mortality, are you willing to defend god, or will you denounce him ? That is the question that is asked.

    ...would you tweak God's laws just a tad to make it legal in mans eyes and increased church attendance. Or would you flat-out go for the lie that when you die you aren't dead. (the first lie recorded in the bible)

    I hear you @bobcat. And you are right. Jesus would never have his words watered down for the sake of getting along. "Do not think I came to bring peace to this earth. I did come to bring peace...[but cause division even among family members]" Jesus Christ quoted at Matt. 10:34-37.
    And true that. (organized religions fomenting wars over each religions differences, or worse, wars with the same religion fighting on both sides)
    And is why the only way for wars to end is for organized religion to be bannished. If your form of worship is approved by God, no man can harm your religion. (lit. 'form of worship')

    Let me ask you this Philip. I know you have had to know people like this. Let's say a person has never known religion, not denying it, just not practicing it their entire life, and that this a person who you could say is saintly in their everyday lives, as in their willingness to extend their help to absolutely anyone regardless of who or the circu mstances. I mean some of the nicest and kindess people ever walk on this earth.
    Do you feel that just becaused they are not baptized into a given religion, they should be denied entry into the new kingdom ?

    @H. True. Jesus used illustrations to form mental pictures in one's mind for easy filing of his words in your brains truth file, never to be modified.
    However, Jesus did not speak of his own accord, but he spoke the word's his father had taught him long ago. In fact, Jesus' words are literally LITTERED with quotes and citations from the old testament.
    But I'm not convinced that it was God's idea entirely when Jesus made a whip for greedy jews to see he meant business. God might of handed him a sling and a rock instead. 🙂 gn H, whomever you are.

      Parables were used so people could figure out for themselves what he meant. In other words, his words were open to the individuals interpretation, and to act accordingly. This is why there is such diversity in the word today; too many cooks in the kitchen.

    People are not puppies. The alliteration is next to useless. Try to discipline a person in that way and watch the rejection that will follow. So thusly is making a human do what is not natural to them.
